(She began dictation in a much stronger voice than normal, and maintained it throughout the session. At times it was quite loud, without growing much deeper. She also spoke somewhat faster than last session. Again her glasses were off, her eyes dark as usual. Her pacing was regular.)

(At 9:15 there was a knock on the door. Jane stopped dictation in the middle of a sentence. She looked at me wordlessly as I walked toward the door, but before I reached it I heard her say, “I’m all right now.”

(It was the paperboy. I paid him, and both of us joked with him for a minute or two before he left. Jane’s manner was her regular one. After the boy had gone Jane said his knock stopped her delivery abruptly, but that she did not come out of the light trance quickly enough to go immediately to the door. She could have, however, within thirty seconds, she said.

(She resumed in the same strong, almost loud voice, at 9:20. In contrast to the last session, she was smoking during this one.)

(Jane now smiled broadly as she paced about the room. If anything, her voice was a bit stronger. It was close to 9:30.)

These dream locations are realities. They do exist, even though they do not exist in space as you know it, and certainly they do not take up space in the skull. There would be no room for anything else. As a brief byline here, I mentioned once the Crucifixion, saying that it was an actuality and a reality, although it did not take place in your time. It took place where time is not as you know it. It took place in the same sort of time in which a dream takes place, and its reality was felt undeniably by generations, and was reacted to. Not being a physical reality, it influenced the world of physical matter in a way that no purely physical reality ever could.

[... 1 paragraph ...]

The Crucifixion was one of the gigantic realities that transformed and enriched both the universe of dreams and the universe of matter, and it originated in the universe of dreams. It was a main contribution of that field to your own, and could be compared physically to an emergence of a new planet within the physical universe.

The reality, the physical reality, of fire was such a contribution made by the physical universe to the universe of dreams. Physical man, observing fire, dreamed of it, thereby immeasurably enriching the universe of dreams. His discovery in the physical universe of domesticating fire was another such contribution to the dream universe.

The ascension of Christ did not occur in time as you know it. It is a contribution of the universe of dreams to your own universe, representing knowledge within the dream universe that man was independent of physical matter ultimately.

(Break at 9:42. Jane was dissociated as usual. After some thought she said she was aware that she was speaking in a strong voice, during dictation. But she had no sense of quickly passing time like that she had experienced in the last session.

(End at 10:29. Jane was dissociated as usual. She maintained her strong voice until the end of the session, without apparent strain.)

(December 17, Thursday, 11:30 AM: I concentrated on traveling psychically to Marian Spaziani’s kitchen, and kept repeating her name over and over. For a second I glimpsed a small kitchen, that reminded me of Marie Colucci’s. Was Marian perhaps there? I had a feeling of extreme lightness, and a slight feeling of rising. Also another hard-to-describe feeling, one of an overall inner motion.

(In my upper left field of vision I then saw a note that was handwritten in possibly dark pencil. It was torn along the edges and wrinkled, as though it had been smoothed out. It was rectangular in shape. This was a visual image, yet I couldn’t read it.

(Now came a second image, partly visual, partly impression. I felt the action was continuing and was still there, as though I could “tune in.” Saw several men who seemed to wear some kind of uniforms of dark green, with helmets or helmet-shaped hats on. A work crew perhaps, busy at an activity, something like an evacuation or disembarkation. I then saw one digging in something other than snow. I saw this in several successive tries to see it clearly.

(During the whole half-hour of the experiment I shivered constantly, and felt very cold even though I was covered by a blanket. The shivering was in some kind of rhythm of varying intensity.

(December 21, Monday, 11:30 AM: Heard mentally, separately, the names: Foster, Lancaster. I was speaking them mentally. I also saw two people dimly. I had the impression of a doctor and a nurse, ushering someone into a side room and then closing another door that blocked my “vision.” I don’t know any Foster or Lancaster.)

(I would like to note here that one night during the second week in December, possibly around the 11th or 12th, I awoke out of a sound sleep to become aware that both arms and hands were involved in my rather familiar sensation of enlargement and of elevation. The feeling of enlargement centers mainly on the tops of the limbs, as though they were swelling, and is not to be confused with the overall thrilling or tingling sensation I often refer to. I have now experienced both sensations many times. As far as I can consciously recall, this instances is the first I have experienced upon coming out of a sleep. I was lying upon my back at the time, and this is the position I use while trying psychological time.

(My enlarging sensation began on backs of hands and in feet quite soon. I believe I then either dozed briefly, or attained a very good state. I had been telling myself I would visit Ed Robbins. I became aware that my whole body felt as though it were gathering itself together, charging itself with some kind of energy, in preparation for travel. The sensation was very strong and expectant. My stomach felt empty or gone, my arms and hands elevated. Arms and legs felt enlarged. This was the peak of the experience as I waited to see what developed. Briefly, and I could be mistaken, I thought I had a sensation of being suspended perhaps a foot or so above my body.

(I had one interesting experience, before the interruption, and felt that I could have had more. I was on the sidewalk of the main street of a small town. I looked up the rather empty and depressing street a few doors to an evidently empty storefront with big gray-colored plate glass windows. There was an indistinct male personage or figure on the sidewalk before me, passing the empty storefront. I then heard my own voice coming out of the store, saying something to this effect: “Now, you’ve known me before.” At this the personage began to scramble backward up the street toward the store, falling backward as though losing its balance at the same time.)
