Ruburt should fix foods that he knows he likes. Yes, and fuss with his table a bit. Think of food and its preparation in creative terms, tell him. Food comes last. He eats because he must. Have him think more in terms of the creative preparation of pleasant foods he likes, an emphasis on an old forgotten pattern. He enjoys cooking when he thinks in that fashion.

Let him coax himself with pleasant foods. He will not feel he is force-feeding himself then. He likes gravy and potatoes, but does not bother because of you. He will enjoy the cream. There are patterns to work on here, then.
