“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(We’ve been having but one session a week while I’ve been typing the finished manuscript for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality. [...] On the other hand, it’s great to see the finished pages for “Unknown” pile up.

An unknown circumstance concerning your friends which will not be discovered until later, perhaps middle of next week.

[...] Jane and I considered combining that hypothetical book with Mass Events, but figured out that the resulting volume would almost surely be too long; longer even than Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality, which in our opinion is bulky enough.

(Since the 806th session was held 10 weeks ago [on July 30], then, I’ve worked steadily on Volume 2 of “Unknown.” [...]

[...] I want to use the material in connection with a passage I’m putting together for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality. [...]

[...] My body is delightfully suited to its environment, and comes to me, again, from that unknown source which shows itself through all of the events of the physical world.”

[...] The statements of the Sinful Self show him clearly the reasons why he was afraid of pursuing the unknown, and afraid therefore of using his own natural abilities freely and safely. [...]

[...] [See the appropriate note at 10:34 in the 694th session.] Then, as we ate, Jane had asked me once again if “Unknown” Reality had any organization — or purpose: “Where’s Seth going with it?” I suggested she forget such worries and let the work come out in its own way, explaining that portions of these notes were concerned with recording the circumstances surrounding just that procedure.

[...] I’ve had the question in mind ever since Seth discussed separate, childhood snapshots of Jane and me in the same terms during the first session for “Unknown” Reality. [...]

6. And added after Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality was completed in April, 1975: Interesting as it is, I never pursued this question, and Seth volunteered no information on it.

[...] She also talked about possible confusions or conflicts between Seth doing “Unknown” Reality while she was writing her own Adventures in Consciousness. [...]

[...] They are portions of the “unknown” reality.

[...] As a race, you are ready to become more aware of your greater reality, however, and to explore its “unknown” aspects. [...]

[...] She wasn’t under any additional strain while producing “Unknown” Reality, she added, since she wanted to do it, but those simple actions would help refresh her. [...]

[...] I’m typing Session 74l for “Unknown” Reality. [...]

[...] I wouldn’t mind doing some work on the project when I finish “Unknown” Reality this weekend, along with other things in the works. [...]

When the intellect is used properly, it thinks of a goal and automatically sets the body in motion toward it, and automatically arouses the other levels of communication unknown to it, so that all forces work together toward the achievement. [...]

[...] I feel that Laurel’s and my relationship is a clear case in which a long-standing “unknown” counterpart connection came into our consciousnesses when we were ready for it to, and that eventually it led to our meeting. [...]

[...] I might add that since Seth launched “Unknown” Reality in February of this year, Jane and I have fulfilled another television commitment, and that she was the subject of a lengthy radio interview. [...]

[...] There are many unofficial scientists, true ones in that regard, unknown in this age. [...]

[...] We may have more to say about those efforts later in “Unknown” Reality.

3. Four little notes, the last two of which are added later from Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality:

[...] All That Is can never know itself completely, since action must always act and each action creates a new unknown.

[...] You are far from identical with these probable selves, and yet if you met them you would instantly know that you had found unknown portions of yourself.

(In my Introductory Notes for Volume 1 of “Unknown” Reality, I explained how Jane acknowledges the mail we get from our readers by sending them copies of letters from Seth and herself; to the latter she adds a few personal lines for each correspondent. [...] Seth dictated his letter in April 1975, just after finishing his part of the work for Volume 2 of “Unknown,” and I presented it while introducing Volume 1. Jane still handles most of the mail herself, and she continues to send people Seth’s letter because we still think he presented excellent ideas in it.

[...] The cause of schizophrenia is unknown, and the victim usually ends up hospitalized because of the severity of symptoms, which can include motor malfunctions, perceptual distortions involving hallucinations and delusions, strange behavior, and a withdrawal from reality. [...]

(11:12.) Ruburt is learning about the unknown reality, and in his own way he is making such a journey as the one suggested in this book. [...]

All That Is, then, became aware of a kind of creative tumult as each of its superlative thoughts and dreams, moods and feelings, strained at the very edges of their beings, looking for some then-unknown, undiscovered, as of then unthought-of release. [...]

2. Seth first discussed the “sleepwalkers” in Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality—see Session 708 for September 30, 1974. [...]

In “Unknown” Reality, then, Seth’s material on the sleepwalkers heralded one of the main themes of Dreams, which he began five years later. [...]

(I’ll add that Jane and I have received several thousand letters since the publication of Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality. As best I can remember, however, not a single writer has mentioned the sleepwalkers—one of Seth’s most intriguing concepts.)

[...] As “Unknown” Reality is being produced Ruburt and Joseph are having their own experiences, and uncovering the nature of the unknown reality as it applies to them.

This book is concerned with the nature of the unknown reality, and the ways in which it can become known.

[...] You cannot explore the nature of reality, hoping to discover its unknown aspects, if you insist that those aspects correspond with the known ones. [...]

[...] See Appendix 4 for Volume 1 of “Unknown” Reality.

[...] On the 14th we received from Prentice-Hall our complimentary copies, just off the press, of Seth’s Psyche; then on the 18th we received Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality.

[...] Naturally we’d been involved in a number of other projects at the same time, as I’ve indicated in my notes for Mass Events, yet for me especially the publication of the two volumes of “Unknown” Reality meant that we had arrived at a certain point in the development and presentation of the Seth material: In those books, through correlating them in a modest way with our previous works, I’d attempted to show the reader just what the three of us had managed to achieve before Seth led us into Psyche — and, as it developed, Mass Events.

[...] We had plenty of other things to do: I was still occupied daily with writing notes and appendixes for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality; on June 4 Jane received the page proofs for Cézanne, and began correcting them for the printer; on the 14th of the month “our” contractor began converting half of our garage into a writing room for Jane, and adding a large back porch [see the end of Note 2 for Session 801]. [...]

(On July 9 we received from Prentice-Hall our first press copies of Volume 1 of “Unknown.” [...]

(With amusement:) I cannot bear such a gloomy face, so I will tell you that “Unknown” will do very well indeed, and that you are doing better than it seems that you are. [...]
