[...] Two days later, on February 17, Seth had some things to say that were quite revealing, both from his standpoint and from ours:

Two weeks later, on March 3, Jane and I really received a surprise through a friend who lives on the California coast: news of a Spanish-language translation of Jane’s first book, How to Develop Your ESP Power. [...]

Jane’s connections and challenges with religion across lifetimes are obvious among her dream of being a nun, the “nightmarish experience”⁸ she had two nights later, and the subject matter of the private session she gave on the evening of March 11. [...]

[...] The event reinforced much of the material in the session itself, and my idea that had brought it about: As Jane and I were finishing supper last night Tom D’Orio from Binghamton visited us with two of his friends [they had a small Seth group going at home]. [...] It was around 9 PM when they finally left, and although I was getting tired I stuck to it and typed the first two pages of notes for this session while I kept in mind what I wanted to put down. [...]

Both of you—to some extent, now, following this evening’s discussion —felt that with two books and perhaps even the poetry book coming out in one year, people would think it was easy enough for you to write your pronouncements from the hilltop, even though in those books you made certain that you mentioned any and all difficulties that came your way, collected your stories of hassles with scientists or publishers, and so forth. [...]

[...] Marie wrote Jane on October 11 that she has not given birth for two years, and Seth dealt with what looked like a discrepancy between the two sets of facts to a partial degree in the 98th session. [...]

Two other men up rather high in the organization make no difference. [...]

[...] Yet if two people see, in your terms see, the same apparition, then instantly we must speak in terms of the weight of the apparition seen, the color of the eyes. [...]

[...] Personally I have no objections to an extra session for Ruburt’s publisher, but I will not condone less than two regular sessions a week, except for circumstances beyond your control.

(In bed finally, Jane received two brief notes from Seth, rather incomplete. [...]

There are two main ways of trying to find out about the nature of reality — an exterior method and an interior one. [...]

[...] The last two sessions also contain some of Seth’s comments on cellular consciousness.

8. So far in the two volumes of “Unknown” Reality, Seth has discussed the freedom of cells from time, along with a number of their other attributes, in well over a dozen sessions. [...]

1. When Seth came through with “You get what you concentrate upon,” I remembered that he’d first spoken that sentence some years ago — and that soon afterward I’d made a little paper sign bearing those words and taped it to a wall in one of the two apartments we occupied in Elmira, New York. [...]

“You have a relationship not only unique, the two of you, but one that also serves as a springboard for creativity. [...]

Seth didn’t mention it in the session tonight, but Jane and I find it extremely interesting that just last week much national publicity was given to the ongoing two-year-old controversy among cancer specialists over whether women — especially those under 50 years of age — should be given routine mammograms (X-ray examinations) in efforts to detect breast cancer in its early stages.

(Note: Some of Seth’s voice effects were very loud—I heard Seth rather clearly through two closed doors—after I had retired. [...]

[...] Rather, after indicating in this Preface the continuity between the two books, I’ll discuss briefly a few other subjects we feel deeply about. [...]

[...] Because of a combination of mechanical failure and human error, one of the two reactors at TMI had come very close to a meltdown of the uranium fuel in its core. [...]

[...] In the frontmatter, see the first of the four quotations from Seth; the one taken from a private session given just two months ago: “All energy contains consciousness (underlined). … A recognition of that simple statement would indeed change your world. [...]

[...] Peter Murtough told us that he has an Uncle John in Australia who is about 40, lives in Canberra and has two young children.

[...] He’d alluded to her notes a little more, but I was disappointed that he hadn’t developed two particular thoughts Jane had picked up from him today. [...]

In the very next session for Volume 1, which Jane gave two days later, Seth stated: “There are systems in which a moment, from your standpoint, is made to endure for the life of a universe. [...]

(Seth stared at me, so I asked: “What do you think of my dreams of the last two nights?”)

Neither of us had counted the sessions we have for Dreams, but when I made a quick check the next day I was surprised to discover that Jane’s estimate is only two short of the 32 sessions Seth has called book dictation. [...]

(For the record: This last material may have come through because I got angry yesterday when I discovered that Prentice-Hall had run a two-page ad in the NY Times Book Section, for Sunday, December 2, without mentioning any of the Seth books. [...]

[...] Between the two beliefs however there is some conflict, since you believe you also need money for your self-respect, but that you cannot get it by being an artist, which you feel is your focus of identity, and highly concerned with self-respect.

[...] The two go hand in hand. [...]

[...] I could hear it even through two closed doors. [...]

[...] Thoughts are not given the same validity as rocks or trees or beer cans (two of which sat on the coffee table between us at the moment) or automobiles. [...]
