(I’ve picked up her new reading glasses at Jim Adams’s office, but she hasn’t been wearing them because they need adjusting. [...]

Finally, then: I was working on this introduction late in October 2002 when Laurel and I were visited by five members of the Houston, Texas, Seth group: Winter Calvert, Theresa Smith, Jim and Debbie Serra, and Yvette Silva. I had corresponded with a few members of the group, and Jim and his wife had visited me some time ago. [...]

A friend, Jim Lord, realizes how helpful dreams can be, because one literally saved his life. Jim had only just begun dream recall experiments when he was sent to Vietnam. [...]

According to the rest of Jim’s letter, if he’d been on the beach as usual that morning, only a miracle could have saved him from death. [...]

[...] Another visitor that first day was Jim Beckett, who witnessed the 47th and 49th sessions. Thus Jim and Louis were the two neutral visitors referred to by Seth.

[...] The sect, called the People’s Temple, had been created by Jim Jones, a charismatic fundamentalist who had eventually been hounded out of the U.S. for many reasons, to then set up his town for his devoted religious followers in Guyana. [...]

[...] The Spazianis have known about the Seth material from the beginning, and have read some of the earlier sessions; indeed, it was Jane’s borrowing Jim’s Ouija board in November 1963, that led to the flow of the Seth material.

(In spite of the fact that we are all good friends, Jane grew somewhat nervous as the day wore on, because the Spazianis had never witnessed a session, although both of them are interested in ESP, and Jim has read a great many books on the subject.

(The day before yesterday we received the first copy from Prentice-Hall of God of Jane. Today I picked up at the office for her the new reading glasses Jim Adams prescribed for her. [...]

Perhaps I should have briefly discussed it in Volume 1, but ever since Seth originally gave his “Joe, Jane, Jim, and Bob” material (as I call it) in the 683rd session, I’ve wondered about possible connections between the probabilities described in that session and our own reality: How much of our species’ distorted, intuitive knowledge of those probable realities may appear as myth and oddity in our camouflage universe? [...]
