“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(It happened that in ESP class last night Seth came through with material pertaining to the nine families of consciousness he’d begun discussing a week ago; see the 732nd session. [...]

(I shouldn’t have been surprised last evening to hear Seth say that such an impetus had triggered Jane’s Sumari abilities, for today, when I reread the 598th session for November 24, 1971, I was reminded that he’d said the same thing then. [...]

1. I can note a good deal later that Seth’s material on our making further distinctions in the families of consciousness, beyond the nine he’s already named for us, is certainly related to the passages from a private session that I quoted in the last three paragraphs of Note 8 for the 732nd session: Seth stated that Peter Smith and I “are and are not counterparts” — that with another in this life each of us may often come together, then part, “forming a counterpart relationship when it suits your purposes….”

[...] that he has welcomed me. Tell him that I shall see to it that he learns what he wants to know. [...]

[...] Many times before Seth has told us he lived a life in Denmark in the sixteenth century.)

He then had two children. [...]

[...] He took the part of a tree, a brook, a rock. [...] (Long pause.) Man always possessed all of the knowledge he needed. [...]

[...] He is able to form many different kinds of cultures, for example. He puts his sciences and religions, his languages, together in multitudinous ways, but there must always be a translation of inner information outward to the world of sense. [...]

(I’d just finished typing the last few pages for Monday night’s session, and I asked Jane what she thought of my final note: I’d speculated about any reincarnational connections that might tie her abilities to speak for Seth, without help of any modern kind, to the abilities ancient man had displayed, when, according to Seth, he’d been able to carry all of his history with him mentally. [...]

[...] “Wow, he’s going to town tonight,” she exclaimed. “He gave me a break now only because he’s going into something more, and he doesn’t want to interrupt it. [...]

[...] He also said he had written to Ruth Montgomery, asking her to do the introduction; if she agreed this might mean RM. [...] Tam said he would like to visit us again before the holidays.)

[...] Today Tam Mossman confirmed that Eve does ride to work at Prentice-Hall with a woman fitting Seth’s description, including the age given; he said eve would ride with him on the specified days in order to alter the probabilities.

One man you will like far less than the others gathered, but he will be with you nevertheless, and much more loyal than one of the women, who will impress you far more. [...]

[...] He wears a vest. He is past middle age and he is talking to Dr. Instream. [...]

He has an ache in his right arm. He gives a list to Dr. Instream. [...]

[...] When he said “This year.” [...]

[...] Jane said she liked the brother quite well; he is the member of Maxine’s family who made an impression on her.

Some of the effects however, of which he speaks, are the result of his own psychological makeup. You can avoid the unpleasant sensations that he has described if you realize this.

[...] The method that he gave is quite sufficient as far as the initial stages are concerned. However there is much more involved, in what he calls the pineal doorway projection.

[...] We speculate that mission here refers to Don’s trip to our apartment last April 4, from his out-of-town residence, to tell us that he and his wife could not attend the 248th session after all; on this visit he gave us the object used this evening.

[...] Don left the sealed envelope he had prepared for the session with me, however; I kept it until the Wilburs were able to witness a session. [...]

[...] He had to be shown what to do, nor did he know how to move her. [...]

[...] All in all, Ruburt handled this morning’s blues well—and with your help, since he told you about them, though he had considered not doing so. [...]

You have started the free association in a good and rousing fashion, so that Ruburt becomes consciously aware of some of his own attitudes that he has more or less become blind to. He has progressed far enough, however, tell him, so that he does not have to fear any regression. [...]

(4:48.) Remind Ruburt — in the meantime — that he is indeed a beloved daughter of the universe, and that his parents are as much the sea and sky as his physical parents. [...]

(Long pause.) Ruburt had a dream with excellent connotations, in which he looked through a beautiful old house of lovely carved wood and spacious rooms, and decided to move into the house, even though it was in an area that had previously nearly been condemned — signifying that he was indeed rising from beliefs that he condemned into a larger, spacious area of expression.

[...] “If you hadn’t asked, he was going to say something about your parenthood thing,” she said. [...]

(Since break Seth had taken to calling out more periods, commas, and other such indicia than he usually does, so I included a few examples. He’s indicated this kind of punctuation throughout the book, but is usually more concerned about words to be underlined, or put in quotes or parentheses. [...]

[...] At such times as now, the ego imprisons him, and he does not allow himself inner freedom. [...]

If Ruburt will begin his exercises again he will notice an immediate improvement. [...]

[...] Now he is beginning to have some energy left over again, so to speak. [...]

It will be a good idea for you and he to begin gently (underlined) exercising the right knee and leg, through easy motions. [...]

Remind him, again, to trust his own energy—simply a reminder, for certainly he is beginning to do just that. [...]

[...] Instead he received ideas which he then interpreted and verbalized, and wrote down for himself. [...]

Ruburt in his Dialogues has an excellent example, in the way in which he allowed his feelings to arise, though he was initially frightened of them. [...]

[...] Jane said that during the delivery she “knew,” without being aware of what Seth was saying, that he was talking about the material she’d received on her own earlier in the week. [...]

He will know the passage to which I refer. [...]

[...] Among many things, he wanted to tell Jane about the research complex, tentatively called The Mentronics Institute — or System — that he’s building on his farm. [...]

[...] I came across his essay, The Poet, in which he talked about the ‘speakers’ as being those who use their inner abilities to ‘speak the inner secrets of nature.’ The essay impressed me strongly, seeming to echo elements in my own writing and psychic characteristics; and of course I thought of Seth’s ‘Speakers’ as he described them in Chapter Twenty of Seth Speaks. [...]

[...] Instead Jane used her “own” abilities to tune in on the diagram of a machine that Bob Monroe drew; he had seen this on one of his out-of-body journeys. [...]

The dreamer, whatever his age, job or family background, is considered most suspect, for it seems that he doesn’t even have a craft to excuse his moral laziness. [...]

[...] Strictly speaking, it isn’t dictation for Mass Events, but Jane and I are presenting portions of it here because Seth discussed events and memory with a different emphasis, and touched upon aspects of reincarnation² — all subjects that spring out of that ineffable, really undefinable quality he calls simultaneous time. I ask the reader to always keep in mind that no matter what subject he’s discussing, or from what viewpoint, Seth’s kind of “time” underlies all that our present physical senses translate into linear, concrete experience and history. For clarification, I also keep this in mind: Seth isn’t physical, as he defines himself, and that “energy personality essence” seemingly isn’t all that focused on the passage of time — as we are — yet way back in the 14th session for January 8, 1964, he told us that time “is therefore still a reality of some kind to me.” [...]

[...] In his (unpublished) apprentice novels, Ruburt (Jane) did two or three versions of an episode with a priest he had known in his youth. Each version at the time he wrote it represented his honest memory of the event. [...]

[...] In Ruburt’s predictions he has only begun. There will be other significant data that will be observed, as he learns to use his ability. And much of this significant material that he will observe from his predictions will also apply to dream symbols.

(It might be worth noting here that many sessions ago Seth stated he was substituting the word “area” for “level,” when a reference to the subconscious was made. [...]

[...] He had just eaten and was getting playful. [...]

For one thing, Ruburt sent out messages that he had enough mail for a while. This fits in with Framework 2, because it was known he needed the weekends right now to relax. [...]

[...] Tam wrote us this week that he thinks so, and that “sales have never been better. [...]

He is working well then with his methods. [...]

It is important that you keep your intent with Ruburt clear, that he will walk properly, that the books will sell well in a second instance, and then trust that the pieces of the completed pattern will all fall into place in Framework 1, as indeed they shall.

[...] Offhand I cannot think of how he could advance within the firm, unless he moved into the selling end of it. He is presently art director, and a member of the board.

[...] On page 293, Volume 5, he stated that he is hardly omnipotent—“Nor, strictly speaking, is such omnipotence possible.” [...]

[...] Since Seth was a day late regarding the change of plan, we wondered if he was a day early regarding the disturbance.

(In the 210th session for November 22,1965, Seth stated that he had picked up an “incipient malignancy” in Helen Dyer, who is a friend of our landlady, Marian Spaziani. [...]

[...] A murdered man will not be returned to physical life in the same fashion, whole and intact, as he was before the murder, for example; for he has been taken out of the particular system of action of which we are speaking.

[...] He had changed jobs and left Elmira at the time we were interested in his house, in June 1964, however. Seth dealt with the purchase of this house in several sessions, saying it would be a good one for us psychically. [...]

[...] The child is indeed still within the man, but he is not the child that once was, in those terms. [...]

[...] Once more, the past was never an independent, concrete object existing apart from the perceiving participator; for he made his past, and its only reality exists in the electromagnetic connections within his own organic and psychic structure.
