“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(I finally decided that the best way to present the variety of material desired, whether from Seth, Jane, or myself, was in chronological order, letting a composite picture emerge as the work progresses. [...] Since the excerpts are still more representative than complete, however, due to the accumulated mass of information available, my own choices enter in: ESP class data are quoted a number of times; included is material summarizing Jane’s own theories about the Seth phenomena, as she worked them out in her recently completed Adventures in Consciousness; but reincarnation, while mentioned often, isn’t stressed in terms of particulars — that is, I refer to Seth’s statements that he, Jane and I led closely involved lives in Denmark in the 1600’s, but those lives aren’t studied per se. By then I’d lost many months from my job as a commercial artist, which was work I’d returned to several years earlier to help ease our financial pressures. [...] We were very dissatisfied with our status quo: After years of work, Jane had managed to publish but a few poems and a few pieces of science fantasy (several short stories and two brief novels), and in my own view I wasn’t making it as the kind of artist I wanted to be. The individual is working with his nature, and with nature in general, rather than against it. [...]

(I’ll note here a small sign of the workings of Framework 2. Today I received a letter from the secretary of the British Psychic Society, Eleanor O’Keefe, thanking us for sending her an autographed copy of Cézanne a couple of weeks ago. [...]

[...] These were met in his sales work, but would not be so easily satisfied if he were a proprietor of a settled establishment.

[...] Seth said there was a woman at the college in Oswego who would do the work. [...]

[...] And you dreamed a great dream and the dream had to do with an instrument called the piano, and you wondered how you could bring this instrument about and how it could be made and how it would work. [...]

[...] Is that, then, psychosomatic working backward? [...]

[...] Therefore, the point I am trying to make is that you form your own illnesses and your own physical defects but you also form your entire physical being, and the good points of your physical image are also your own work. [...]

I do strongly suggest that you begin work with these cards and also (Jane laughed) when you have the time that you continue your own attempt to use the inner senses outside these sessions. [...]

[...] I could quickly see that some kind of a divider here would shield her working area from the entrance to our apartment.)

The sister’s husband has a squat build, and uses his hands often in work.

[...] You are close to achieving a goal, having to do with your work.

[...] This is an unusual way to work on watercolor paper. [...]

[...] Nor had I said anything to Jane about this; it is my habit to see how things work out instead of making predictions.

[...] It would be better for now (underlined) that he concentrates upon this—his work and full activities. [...]

The very impetus and charge of the energy propels you both in to new byways in your arts and in our work. Were the energy and emotional impetus materialized instead for example in parent-child relationships, with you as parents, in your particular cases it would be lessened in your work.

[...] And all of this energy in both of your cases unconsciously understood, is then at its best, joyfully bound together and projected into your works.

(A note: the way things “work” … On Thursday morning—the day after this session was held — Jane and I saw the three young men referred to in the newspaper article on a well-known variety show. [...]

[...] Either way, she finds out through much detective work that a whole series of mixups had occurred in the hospital that day — that in the Elmira area there are several sets of parents who have been raising the wrong children all these years. [...]

Jane expected Seth to work on his new book this evening. [...]

“The creationists put down other species, as do the evolutionists, taking it as fact that no other species is capable of conceptual thought, where I think that statement is extremely dubious generally, and even specifically in light of the work being done with dolphins, for example. [...]

[...] He must make token efforts, therefore, to break away—efforts that must be futile, because if they worked he would be in the “real world.”

[...] The author may know the book’s end, or allow the characters themselves to work out their own solutions. [...]

[...] And as in your dream you set up situations and work out problems, so you do the same in your physical existence.

[...] Often in physical life then, you are also working out solutions to problems that exist in a quite different manner, and in a completely different context in this other dimension.

[...] Other times I would suddenly begin crying as I ate breakfast, or heard a familiar song on television, or sat at my typewriter working on Dreams. [...]

[...] I think I made clear our current ideas about insurance, our work, the need for privacy, our opinions of various doctors and the medical establishment versus the lack of psychology they often display, and so forth. [...]

[...] I’m still pursuing my new ideas about ignoring as much as possible any potential hassles, and focusing on my creative work each day.

[...] If we create our reality, how come an inoculation will work, even if we don’t want it, or don’t believe in it? Why would it work even if it could be given to us without our knowing it? [...]

[...] We tried to use it, since we could not deny it, nor did I go against it, since Ruburt’s abilities are what I have to work with and through, beside of course my own. [...]

[...] When that course works it is because knowingly or unknowingly the suggestions given follow the natural inclinations. [...]
