You wrote recently that to some extent or another your daily reality was being changed by your dream recall—an excellent point. [...]

The acknowledgment of such impulses in the procedure just given will automatically help build Ruburt’s trust in himself, and it is a good idea for him to note such impulses, for later on certain occasions he will be able to see how such and such an impulse, followed on its own, led him to such and such a beneficial event—an event that at the time was completely invisible or unforeseen.

[...] When you are building self-trust, and your body is in any way impaired, then you are learning to do something that you did not do when your body was operating beautifully.

Jane’s mother was to die within three months of our return home, mine over a year later (in November 1973).

Seth didn’t mention it in the session tonight, but Jane and I find it extremely interesting that just last week much national publicity was given to the ongoing two-year-old controversy among cancer specialists over whether women — especially those under 50 years of age — should be given routine mammograms (X-ray examinations) in efforts to detect breast cancer in its early stages.

I told you that he was ready for a giant (underlined) improvement, and a necessary requirement was and is his recognition of the impulses that he has been denying or restricting. [...]

[...] Peter and I had rather idly speculated that because of our common interests we could have reincarnational ties.² Seth’s naming Norma as being psychically affiliated with me was unexpected, however. [...] Jane was out of trance quickly. [...] This was a reference to the fact that Jane got “mad” at Seth—one of the few times this has occurred—at an ESP-class session last night, for some remarks Seth made concerning Jane’s tendency to intellectually categorize people. [...]

[...] “When I looked at those notes I knew all of a sudden that I was to do that book — Heroics — that I was to keep on looking for the heroic self I’d written about in Politics,” she told me as we ate lunch. [...]
