(During the break we were discussing the volume of Seth’s voice. [...]

[...] Though my voice does not often sound joyful it is a matter of mechanics. [...]

[...] She began dictating in a voice only a bit stronger than normal, and in a very deliberate manner once again. [...]

[...] When she began dictating again her pace was as slow and deliberate as before, her voice normal. [...]

(Her voice was practically normal when she resumed at 10:36.)

[...] This feeling came upon me right after I had asked my subconscious to give me some idea of what had happened during the tape recording, when the voice I used seemed to belong more to Father Trainor than to me.

(Jane said she was “little and tiny inside the voice,” which always means that Seth’s presence is strong and immediate. To Jane while in trance, the voice seemed “to be booming all around, with me inside.”)

(To Patty, amused): I did not think that you did a very good job imitating my voice. [...]

[...] Jane’s trance had been good, her pace fast, her voice quiet. [...]

(Long pause at 10:14.) They finally retreated into isolation from the world that they knew, and the voice of their leader at the microphone was a magnified merging of their own voices. [...]

[...] At 9:12 she began to dictate in a rather normal voice, although as the session progressed her voice gathered quite a bit of volume at times. [...]

[...] This time wearing her glasses, she resumed in a rather unhurried but emphatic manner, her voice a little stronger, at 9:40.)

(Jane delivered the above sentence with much emphasis, her voice deepening considerably at times.)

(Perhaps the affairs of this evening were set in motion several days ago, when Jane and I voiced the thought that we might try an ESP experiment of some kind on Sunday night. [...]

(Jane began speaking in trance while sitting down; she was smoking; her eyes began to open soon; her pace was rather fast and her voice quite loud, comparatively—the loudest it has been in some time.)

[...] (Here, Seth’s voice was powerful and emphatic indeed. [...]

[...] Jane went into trance as easily as ever, but her Seth voice contained the same underlying tremor I’ve noticed on a number of occasions since she’s returned home. [...]

[...] So I was to some extent only half alarmed to hear from some strange inner existence my own voice slow down. [...]

[...] When she went into trance at 7:39 her Seth voice had a distinct tremor—one decidedly more pronounced than on April 12—and a hard-to-define faraway quality. [...]

(8:10 P.M. Jane’s Seth voice had grown a little stronger as she progressed with the session. [...]

(Jane began speaking for Seth in trance, in a fairly strong voice, rather rapidly, and with her eyes opening often.)
