Far beneath however, at any given time in your terms, there is a dominant, characteristic, unique feeling-tone that pervades the personality and colors all of the other activities, feelings and thoughts. There is also a rhythm at this level however, and such a basic feeling-tone will also of itself change into another. Feelings and thoughts exist in the ground of the basic feeling-tone.

In the case of individuals such feeling-tones pervade all experiences and perception, and can even therefore alter the perception of reality, therefore effectively changing it. En masse the same story is true. The world as you know it therefore at any given time is pervaded by its own “ground feeling-tone” in quotes, which becomes the medium from which and in which other feelings and ideas emerge.

Ruburt is indeed out of the basic feeling-tone that brought about his malady. The feeling-tone however also helped to bring about our sessions as well, even though he did not become ill in your terms until afterward.

The feeling-tone, somewhat generated in childhood as I told you, was momentarily changed for the better when your relationship with him began. The feeling-tone however was one of the issues that led him to seek so for answers, and also made it very difficult for him to accept them.

Everything that you experience has consciousness, and each consciousness is endowed with its own feeling-tone. There is great cooperation involved in the formation of the earth as you think of it, and so the individual living structures of the planet rise up from the feeling-tone within each atom and molecule.

[...] Your feeling-tones are your emotional attitudes toward yourself and life in general, and these generally govern the large areas of experience.

[...] While your day-to-day feelings may rise or fall, these characteristic feeling-tones lie beneath.

[...] I think that her experience with inner sound after the session represented her interpretation of the information Seth gave on feeling-tones, some two years ago; see the 613th session for Chapter 1 of Personal Reality. There are certainly deep connections between Jane’s apprehension of her true tone, and Seth’s statement in that session that each of us possesses certain qualities of feeling uniquely our own, “… that are like deep musical chords.” He went on to say at 10:06: “These feeling-tones, then, pervade your being They are the form your spirit takes when combined with flesh.” I also think that Jane’s sensing of her true path reflects her understanding of Seth’s subsequent remark at 10:16 [in that 613th session]: “The feeling-tone is the motion and fiber — and timbre — of your energy devoted to your physical experience.¹¹

[...] The overall ‘true tone’ is muddied. When Ruburt began Politics he experienced his ‘true tone’ mentally and psychically. Though he did not realize it, this gave him something to go by, so that now … he is unconsciously [still] bringing about the physical equivalent of that true tone.”

The overall emotional tone or feeling-level of masses of people, through their body connections with the environment, brings about the exterior physical conditions that initiate such an onslaught of natural energy. According to the mass emotional conditions, various excesses are built up physically; these are then thrown off into the atmosphere in different form. [...]

[...] Because of the peculiar, unique and characteristic feeling-tones involved, however, the resulting emotional tensions were released, automatically transformed, into the atmosphere. [...]
