[...] Volume 2 is a massive book, yet I still couldn’t believe all the time — almost exactly five years — that had passed since Jane, Seth, and I began work on it. When one added the largely overlapping time spent on Volume 1, our temporal investment approached five-and-a-half years. Naturally we’d been involved in a number of other projects at the same time, as I’ve indicated in my notes for Mass Events, yet for me especially the publication of the two volumes of “Unknown” Reality meant that we had arrived at a certain point in the development and presentation of the Seth material: In those books, through correlating them in a modest way with our previous works, I’d attempted to show the reader just what the three of us had managed to achieve before Seth led us into Psyche — and, as it developed, Mass Events.

(At about the same time Emir was mailed, Jane sent Richard Bach “a crazy poem” that she’d written a couple of days earlier. [...]

The dream of which the man spoke to Ruburt had some clairvoyant elements in it, but the time of the woman’s death is not in the immediate (underlined) future.

I mention it because this has at times been responsible for a break in our regular sessions. [...]

Now as you sit before me, and I have said this before, you imagine yourselves to be particular people upon this earth at this particular time and at this particular address and cut off from any deeper reality that you have and yet, in your inner awareness, you realize that you are more than you know. [...] Where you are to some extent if only momentarily, released from the compulsion to experience your own reality in terms of time and matter and physical form. [...]

Now I am not unaware of the progress that many of you are making, and if I do not have the time to speak to you personally, understand that I know and realize that the unsaid matters that rein through these hours are known. [...]

Ruburt is embarking upon a different kind of relaxation—highly important, so in that regard these times are extremely creative, and that creativity will indeed be reflected in bodily releases and what you might call body inspirations. [...]

[...] At the same time Seth stated he was not a spirit, although if he materialized in the middle of the floor we would pay more attention and not take him for granted.

[...] He’d sent some home-canned jars of fruits and vegetables at Christmas time; for the past year he’d also written a string of long letters signed “me,” meaning I couldn’t answer him to say thanks for the stuff. [...]

[...] In the meantime I’d put his address downstairs in storage among many others, and hadn’t taken the time to find it so I could answer — another of the mail hassles that crop up often.

[...] I helped her at times. [...]

[...] (Pause.) It is possible to cover all of them at once, or the process may take you some time. [...]

[...] The apartment was quite cold tonight because of a strong wind that had blown all day, after a 14-inch snowfall yesterday; but Jane said that as Seth she was not cold, in fact comfortable for the first time today, etc.

[...] You may try many times and then succeed... [...]

[...] I helped her at times, and she wound up reading in pretty good style at 3:39. [...]

[...] “You can start a new Seth book any time you want to.” [...]

[...] It was time for me to turn her on her left side. [...]

[...] Usually we’re notified well in advance of a book’s publication, but not this time — if the event has actually taken place. [...]

[...] Seth has also used the phrase in connection with a next work.⁴ Now it appears that he’s settled upon a formal title for his book — one that Jane has received from him several times lately: Dreams, “Evolution,” and Value Fulfillment.)

[...] To use his own word, it would be “fascinating,” should the three of us ever find the time to get to it. [...]

[...] Jane’s energy has been high for some time now.

For a time then you may experience a feeling of loss as you move from one group of beliefs to another. [...]

[...] As an example, you may believe that you want to understand the nature of your inner self — you may tell yourself you want to remember your dreams, but at the same time still hold a belief in the basic unworthiness of the self, and be quite frightened of remembering your dreams because of what you might find there.

[...] Obviously, in those terms of linear time, Jane and I each feel that we chose our present environments.

[...] The interested reader will also be able to compare her composition with certain passages in her long poem, Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time, when that work is published in book form in September 1975.

As Seth continued dictating The Nature of Personal Reality, I wrote a complete poetry manuscript, Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time, in which I worked out many of my own beliefs as per suggestions Seth was giving in his book. [...]

Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time, The Speakers, and some Sumari poetry are being combined into a book that will be published soon by Prentice-Hall. [...]

[...] As a result, as you’ll see in Rob’s notes, further work on the book was delayed for some time.

[...] Periodically Rob notes the passage of time, to show how long it takes Seth to get through a particular passage. [...]

(Karina was mostly quiet today, although sounding off at times. Jane’s Seth voice was stronger and more positive than usual, I thought, with considerable emphasis at times.)

[...] So for the first time in weeks, we didn’t hear Karina cry out in Russian, or cry for Georgia in English.
