(Apropos of the notes preceding this session, concerning Jane’s nighttime work on Seth’s book last week: the same kind of effects returned when she went to sleep after this session — but this time she decided to try an experiment. [...]
(This took half a page or so, and the session ended at 12:03 a.m. Jane was very surprised at the time involved in delivering the title for Chapter Seventeen. [...]
[...] Apparently this material has to go through the session format — which automatically translates it….?”
(Jane and I discussed the above data at breakfast the morning after the session. [...]
(This material is from the 730th session. [...]
[...] Unconsciously she chose the precise “old” class session, dealing with probabilities, and containing her description, last June, of an out-of-body episode in which she did indeed visit a probable class. [...]
[...] I recognize your problems—but that sequence alone, done properly, would require sessions.
(Seth now gave two pages of material for Jane, and ended the session at 11:45 PM.)
One of Jane’s earlier travels through an altered state of consciousness, in September, 1972, resulted in the first session on her unique “slow” and “fast” sounds, then led into information on faster-than-light particles, black holes, white holes, and “dead” holes. The entire episode is presented in an appendix in Section 4. In another appendix I explore the relationship between Jane and Seth, using many quotes from previously unpublished sessions.
[...] Then she reminded me of Seth’s final lines for this first volume (given after break ended at 11:05 in the 704th session), and I suggest that the reader review that material now.
Among other information in Section 5, Seth gives considerable material designed to help the reader achieve psychic travel; related here is his session on dreams and dream photography. [...]
[...] As Seth comments in the 742nd session for April 16, 1975, in Section 6: “It is obvious that when you move from one place to another you make an alteration in space — but you alter time as well, and you set into motion a certain psychological impetus that reaches out to affect everyone you know … Such messages are often encountered in the dream state. [...]
[...] We were also hungry, so we thought of ending the session and watching an old mystery or horror movie on TV while we had something to eat. [...] Impossible as it seemed, well over a year had passed since she had stopped reading the book, session by session, early in Chapter Four. [...]
(This is the first regular session since May 12. [...] Jane held ESP classes for some of this time, though, and gave a few sessions within that format.
We will have a personal session also, and continue with our book. And I missed our private sessions.
[...] Jane remained seated as the session began. [...] Her eyes were closed for the most part, although she was smoking as the session began. [...]
[...] This feeling was heightened of course because she was also not sure whether she would sit with her eyes closed during the session, or pace about. [...]
[...] But in some session in the near future we will have a less formal and more friendly time. [...]
In other sessions I have explained precisely and in detailed fashion the steps by which this individualized vitality forms its own energy into molecules and atoms, which are the basis for further more advanced gestalts. [...]
(The following private sessions have been deleted from this Book 9, the last one in this series of The Early Sessions. Except for Session 494, however, those sessions will be presented in The Personal Sessions series that New Awareness Network will soon begin publishing. See my note about ThePersonal Sessions in the front matter of this book:)
Now I will end our session unless you have questions.
SESSION 481
(Before the session Jane said that in the last week she: 1. Is reading much better—“damn well” on Seth’s book. [...] All of these things Jane considered to be her “two-week report,” as discussed in the deleted session for January 7, 1978.
This is quite enough for this evening, since I expect you to take an almost equal amount of time not only to read this session together, but to explore at the same time the ways in which your own self-labels may have added to your own self- disapproval. That exercise is a part of this session.
[...] I have been rereading the latest sessions on self-disapproval, and these seem to have made the difference. [...]
[...] I do my own part in these sessions, and if I may say so (highly amused:) very well indeed—and yet there is certainly something in Ruburt’s mind and abilities that allows him to speak, regardless, over the years, an immense amount of material, some of it highly detailed and orderly. [...]
What we want is the introduction of new motion into all areas of Ruburt’s body at a time when you are here, [Joseph], so that you can lend your help and support, so we end up with healing sessions in a way that is most convenient. [...]
[...] Jane’s pace at the beginning of the session was quite active and fast, her eyes open often. The tempo of the session slowed perceptibly as it progressed.)
(The session scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, was not held. [...]
You may take a break, or end the session, as you prefer.
Now, unless you have particular questions, I will end this evening’s session.
(We received a letter from Pat Norelli today in which she substantiates some clairvoyant material concerning her, given by Seth in Session 340. Notes are included in that session.)
We will, instead, begin our next session with this material and for now I have a few comments to make. [...]
We will end our session. [...]
[...] End of session.
[...] These sessions should be regular above all else. If we begin stretching them into longer sessions within one night, you will not have time to correlate the material or to completely recover from the effort involved. I am afraid we would then end up with only one session a week, and I prefer the two. [...]
[...] Sessions, she said, should be regular. [...] She said that the way Rob and I work together, we need both of us to succeed, and that our channels were open before the session. [...]
[...] Our cat’s eyes also had that same look in the last session.”)
(At 8:55 this evening Jane had no idea of what Seth would talk about for the session. She did not feel good, however, and I was half-prepared for a short session or perhaps none at all.
I will here end our session, and am pleased to note that Ruburt feels much better. Had I put off the session he would have felt worse by far, feeling guilty. [...]
[...] Last week he began and finished an excellent short story, and finished an outline, as well as holding our sessions, and beginning once more his psychological time experiments.
(Jane’s “walking” has improved much in the last week, especially, and overall since Seth began this series of personal sessions. [...] But we’ve also grown careless again: She walks but once a day, instead of the twice I suggested recently, and which she agreed to, and which Seth seconded in a recent session. [...]
2. Jane wrote these notes in her journal last Sunday, the day before she delivered this session on August 25 — but I present them here to show how, from her own perspective, she very nicely covers events I too wrote about in connection with the session.
(We sat for the session at 8:40. [...]
End of session — and again, a magical good evening.
[...] As we talked Jane said Seth was around, and she gave me a capsule summary of what he’d have said had we held a session. [...] It’s explored more fully in the session below, yet I also feel, from the description Jane gave me at the time, that Seth explores the whole thing from a different angle, too.
(Jane did want to try the session, even though she was so content. [...] I also didn’t ask Seth about Jane’s delayed reaction to the suggestions, so am making a note of that for next Saturday’s session, at Jane’s request. [...]
[...] As soon as the session ended Jane went right back into her extremely relaxed state. During the session she had been as active and animated as usual, however, her delivery good, etc. [...]
(This afternoon, as Seth suggested I do in the last session, I gave Jane beneficial suggestions for 15 minutes or so at naptime, until my voice became tired. [...]
[...] I had been typing a session in my studio, while class met in our living room. The session had been recorded by a class member, as usual, and we’ll have a transcript of it in a few days.)
(Jane told me that “at the tail end of the session,” she had picked up this idea from Seth; I could tape a session, and while it was in progress I would be free to do a series of sketches of her speaking for Seth. [...]
[...] Of the four regular sessions held in the remaining time, large portions dealt with matters growing out of the September 4th publication of Jane’s own book, The Seth Material, and a projected radio and television tour.
[...] She wasn’t as active or strong as she had been last night, though, when she held a session for her ESP class. [...]
