If you have no more questions than we shall end our session, as I know too well how many sessions are not yet typed.

[...] To my knowledge, this is the first time in all the sessions that Seth has given such an answer. [...]

(We did not expect a session this evening. While Jane and I discussed the events of the day, however, she said Seth was around, and that we could have a session if we so chose. [...] The session was held in Jane’s workroom.)

[...] Timothy Foote was very interested in Jane’s abilities, and said he would like to return for a session with a recorder. [...]

[...] Jane, liking Timothy Foote, told me later that had he stayed for the evening she would have had a session for him; yet we feel there were reasons he didn’t stay, and that things worked out for the best all around.

[...] During break I said I hoped Seth would discuss the episode Jane experienced during the 523rd session for last Monday, April 13, 1970. While speaking for Seth, Jane realized later, she evidently had a brief out-of-body, seeing herself from a position near the bookcase in our living room, as she sat in the rocker delivering session data.

(The day after this session, Jane received a letter from her editor at Prentice-Hall, Tam Mossman, asking if she had received her contracts through the mail; there has been a worrisome delay, due at least in part to the recent postal strike.)

(In the 222nd session Seth asked Jane not to smoke during tests. Sometimes seriously but more often humorously, he has gone into the reasons behind Jane’s smoking in these sessions: 31, 32, 147, 148, 149, 150, 151, 222.

(On the evening of February 2, during the 229th session, Seth said: “You will get no appreciable amount of snow, I believe for ten days or so...” [...]

(Bill and Peggy Gallagher are on vacation in New York City this week and Seth was to give data concerning them during the session this evening. [...]

(We wanted a session tonight on Jane’s problem, although we’d settle for something from Seth each time, along with his other book dictation, or whatever. As a result of our work with the pendulum this morning, Jane was so relaxed by session time that she didn’t know whether she could manage a session. [...] Tonight’s session was excellent, and should of course be studied in connection with the material we’ve already accumulated through pendulum work.)

(The story of what we’ve been up to the last few days can be found in Jane’s records of her pendulum sessions since March 28. [...]

(No session was held last Wednesday while Jane worked on the James galleys. [...]

(Seth had told us last time that he was near the end of the chapter, but we hadn’t realized of course that he was to finish it with a sentence or two in the next session. [...] It was as though the break between sessions didn’t exist for him.

SESSION 571, MARCH 3, 1971,
9:17 P.M. WEDNESDAY

(This session was due yesterday but was not held. John Bradley, our friend from Williamsport, PA, who had witnessed a group of sessions, visited us yesterday evening. Jane, John and I then journeyed to the home of the Gallaghers, where the session was to be held. When unexpected company arrived at the Gallaghers shortly before 9 PM however, Jane and I put the session off until tonight.

[...] Our windows were open, and Jane began speaking in a voice heavier than usual, as in the last session. [...]

(We need answers concerning the rather spectacular results obtained in the 11th session because Jane is writing a chapter on this seance for the Seth book. [...]

[...] In the 63rd session, again, he deals with the two companion universes to ours, calling them a beforeimage and an afterimage, and lumping them under the general terms of negative or antimatter. In the 63rd session Seth states that our universe and the two universes comprising the universe of negative matter can never meet. Perhaps the point here is what kind of a “meeting” he was referring to in the 63rd session. He is referring to a psychic communication in the present session.)

(Jane had no idea of the material for the session. [...]

I also miss the painting that hung there upon the wall; and while I will not take up much of this session with this material, I will nevertheless make here a few comments concerning the person to whom the painting was sold.

(The session was witnessed by Virginia and Tom Milligan, both of whom are members of Jane’s ESP class. They had no questions for Seth prior to the session; Tom said he had been giving Seth questions mentally earlier today, and also earlier in the week. The Milligans have known for some days now that they would witness the session tonight.

(It might be added here, or at the end of the session, that Jane has no knowledge of banking, nor had she discussed any of this material with Tom before the session, or at any other time. [...]

(Seth began talking about the dilemma posed between the conventional theory of evolution and his ideas about the simultaneous nature of time and existence, soon after these sessions started late in 1963. He dealt with this duality very evocatively in the 45th session for April 20, 1964:)

[...] To some small degree in our sessions you plunge into this ocean of value climate, and to the extent that you are able to divest yourselves of the clothes of camouflage, you can be truly aware of this climate.

(This session was held for three of Jane’s students. [...]

(It was hoped that in this session Seth would give impressions concerning the Gallaghers’ vacation. [...]

We will, at one time or another, speak with you each in a more private session. [...]

[...] I told her it was because of the data in the session. We had asked for the session yesterday, in light of what had come to the surface regarding our problems in previous days this week. [...]

I suggest, if this will do me any good, that both of you take the work involved and find those sessions and finally put them to use. [...]

There are definite points—and check the old sessions—where emotional resistances will be reached and he will want to cry during the sexual encounter. [...]

(“You might say that the whole demonstration of movement is the equivalent of a session,” I said. [...]
