[...] We wondered if this method of acquainting both of us with involved questions before the session began might not save asking the question during the session itself.

[...] Seth however began to talk faster than I could follow, so for the balance of the session I recorded key words and phrases and filled in between as soon as the session ended, while memory was still fresh. [...]

SESSION 473

(We were holding the session in Jane’s workroom across the hall from the living room, in order to obtain more privacy. It was so hot that Jane had been peeling off articles of clothing ever since the session began.)

(At 11:25 PM I showed her the Sumari verse I had written before the session, and requested a translation. [...] I hadn’t expected anything on the verse translation this evening, especially after a long session.)

(This is the regularly scheduled session for December 29, 1971. [...]

(At 8:52 I wrote the following in Sumari as we sat waiting for the session:

[...] At noon she said she could either describe what she’d been getting from Seth, or try to have a session after lunch. We chose to go for the session so the material could be recorded. This is our first daylight session in some time.

DELETED SESSION

From 1963 until 1966, Rob and I worked alone, holding the twice-weekly sessions and following Seth’s instructions. I had several spontaneous out-of-body experiences during Seth sessions and while doing the exercise Seth calls psy-time. [...]

I was really quite tired, yet after the session, I was astonished to discover that Seth had dictated an excellent exposition on the physical senses and had begun a description of the inner ones. [...] This was the twentieth session, January 29th. The session began as usual at 9:00 P.M. and ended at 11:40. [...]

(And in the next (nineteenth) session on January 17, 1964, Seth did carry his discussion on the inner sense further, and he gave us additional clues as to how we could use them. [...] The session was a long one, and he began by emphasizing the fact that all physical sense data was camouflage.)

And gain before the next session, I had that odd stage fright, a feeling of apprehension and wonder. [...] It seemed I had to rush through dinner and the dishes and my normal chores in order to get through by session time. [...]

Excerpts from Sessions 19 and 20

[...] As session time approached our cat Willy put on one of his performances, persistently diving at Jane’s legs and ankles; as usual he calmed down as soon as the session began.

I closed our last session somewhat earlier, and intend to do the same this evening. I had even contemplated cutting down the number of sessions, but do not want to do this.

We will have another quiet session, for which I know Ruburt is always thankful.

SESSION 716

[...] (“I guess I’m confused,” Jane said as we waited for the session to begin. [...]

Each particular “station” of consciousness perceives in a different kind of reality, and as mentioned earlier (in Session 711, for instance), you usually tune in to your home station most of the time. [...]

(Just before the session began Jane started coughing quite a bit. [...] I’ll try to have the session, but I don’t know how far I’ll get....”

(I told Jane about the three deleted sessions for January 1980 that I’d read this morning while doing a note for Dreams—how good they were, on the body consciousness and related subjects like healing, and what a shame it is that the material sits there unread and unpublished.

(We were so busy, even being interrupted while I was taking my nap, that we never did get to have a session. [...]

(Before the session I told Jane I’d like Seth to say more about her eyes. [...]

[...] She added that she hoped that in each session “he’ll just come up with something that I can use to blaze right through with, that’s all.” [...]

(It may simply be that Seth was referring to a foreign publisher in any European country, as one of the ingredients in this story of the workings of Framework 2. Card from Carlos attached to this session for reference if needed.)

3. Seth’s material on individual creativity at once reminded me of a certain passage of his in the private, or deleted, portion of the 580th session for April 12, 1971. [...] (The regular part of the 580th session, incidentally, was for a book, too: Chapter 20 of Seth Speaks.) I like the following quotation so much that I’ve made copies of it for us to keep where we can refer to them — in my case, pinned up on a wall in my studio. [...]

[...] As he progressed with the session I began hoping that Seth meant it for Mass Events; finally I decided to insert it in the book even if he didn’t.

Speaking of books: Even with all of the help Jane has given me lately on Psyche and Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality (see the opening notes for sessions 821 and 823, respectively), I’m still only too conscious of the work I have to do to finish the notes and other material for both books, and put together their manuscripts for the publisher. You are going to have some extra sessions this weekend. [...] Therefore, this will be a very brief session, to supplement the material in our last session. [...]

Now: The planetary system of which we spoke in our last session was the first one within your universe, when you are speaking in terms of time. [...]
