Seth presented his sessions for “Unknown” Reality as usual, but dispensed with any chapter framework. [...] There are different kinds of organizations present, however, and in any given section of the book, several levels of consciousness are appealed to at once.” [...]

[...] For some time all of us present had been aware that as a single volume this new work would be more massive than we wanted it to be. [...]

For some time you have all been searching, and I hope to show you how to ask the proper questions; for in the questions you will find the answers, and in the answers you shall be yourselves; and knowing yourselves fulfill your purpose, and expand the limitations of your own consciousness until you can search out the past and the present and see yourselves as you are, and know that you are more than you think you are, and fulfill those abilities which you have partially developed in past lives.

[...] Then from that new past, in certain terms, the new present and future emerge — a fascinating phenomenon.

Now, I may or may not return, according to those reasons with which you are beginning to grow acquainted, but know that I am present and approachable.

[...] It would be impossible for you to handle the vast amount of material available, in the context of time as you presently experience it. [...]

[...] To a far lesser extent it goes on all the time, for it represents the basis upon which your present consciousness rides.

[...] It is not true to say that man cannot conceive of something that is not already presented to his experience in one way or another. [...]

In your terms the bleed-through can occur in both past and present, an idea from today bleeding into the past or the other way around. [...]

[...] Bleed-throughs result in its being picked up in your present. [...]

[...] Because of this even the past as you think of it, as I told you, is never done and completed, but constantly changed by your present and future.

You are aware through your newspapers and magazines of the dramas, news broadcasts, or other programs that are presently being offered. In the same way you are aware, generally speaking, of the “programs” being physically presented in your own nation and throughout the world. [...]

Not only does television actually serve as a mass means of communal meditation, but it also presents you with highly detailed, manufactured dreams, in which each viewer shares to some extent. [...]

[...] Television presents you with a mirror of your society. [...]

[...] Yet that larger inner system of communications is far more powerful in scope, and each mental act is imprinted in the multidimensional screen of Framework 2. That screen is available to all, and in other levels of consciousness, particularly in the sleep and dreaming stages, the events of that inner reality are as ever-present and easily accessible as physical events are when you are awake.

The spacious present does not contradict the existence of a future as you conceive it. [...] The spacious present, while existing spontaneously, while happening simultaneously, still contains within it qualities of duration.

[...] Our third law is spontaneity, and despite all appearances of beginning and end, of death and decay, all consciousnesses exist in the spacious present, in a spontaneous manner, in simultaneous harmony; and yet within the spacious present there is also durability.

[...] Durability within the framework of the spacious present would not exist were it not for the laws of value fulfillment and energy transformation. These make duration within the spacious present not only possible but necessary….

Seth prepared the way for these statements by declaring in the 684th session, in Volume 1: “It is truer to say that heredity operates from the future backward into the past, than it is to say that it operates from the past into the present. Neither statement would be precisely correct in any case, because your present is a poised balance affected as much by the probable future as the probable past.”

[...] These may belong to the past, present or future, in your terms.

In one such episode, for example, you followed through your present course to completion. [...]

In your present daily life the same process continues. [...]

[...] Presently Ruburt has the two so closely in mind that I am not sure. [...]

[...] The material need not be presented in one way only, as I have told you in the past.

Do not attempt to force it to follow preconceived patterns, or insist that it be presented in any given manner. [...]

It carries within it certain propelling forces, possibilities of development, and possibilities of presentation.

[...] Though you were not acquainted specifically with such phenomena, you were good readers, and my presentation was, if I may say so myself, shrewdly and cleverly geared (leaning forward intently) to your own individual possibilities.

[...] To run pell-mell into another relationship will be no answer—for you will not have solved those problems that have caused your present dilemma. [...] (I am referring to “another” relationship, but the same applies to your present wife.)

[...] There are developments within your own identities with which you are not presently aware. [...]

[...] It is not that the joy is not present, but that you refuse to acknowledge it. [...]

[...] At your particular focus of consciousness, no arguments will suffice to convince you otherwise, for you are everywhere presented with the physical evidence of “fact.” [...]

In a strange manner I am telling you that your “life” is simply the only portion of your existence of which you are presently aware. [...]

[...] You are that portion of the psyche that you presently recognize. [...]

Whenever you become anxious, overconcerned, you can almost always refresh yourself—I mean both of you—or anyone—by a return of attention to the events immediately present in the natural world.

Past, present, and future, as you know, exist at once in the spacious present. We have been speaking in terms of the personal past, present and future, as it exists for the individual. Let us now consider the spacious present in different terms. [...]

[...] What about the spacious present and your quasars? What about your spacious present and the predictions, for example, of Nostradamus? What about the spacious present and its connection with evolution? [...]

Now the spacious present obviously contains all of these systems, and these systems are all open systems, for the energy that composes them is the same. [...]

[...] But if it seems that we are far afield from the spacious present and quasars, then you are mistaken.

[...] As soon as Seth mentioned her feelings of inferiority at the beginning of the session, it was all downhill for me; I thought we’d done a reasonable job on encountering those with our pendulum work, but it seemed that they were still as present and active as ever. Nor could I take any comfort from Seth’s remarks about encountering strangers, or even friends, I said, since it seemed that whenever any outsider was present we were both constantly worrying about whether they would notice Jane’s condition, whether she ever got on her feet, and so forth, until it seemed that those episodes were hardly worthwhile. (I would add that much of my present concern seemed to have been brought to a conscious focus by an even that took place last Saturday evening, when Jane spontaneiously asked the Bumbalos over for a drink. [...]

Ruburt allowed himself to act according to his nature, in the circumstances as they were presented. [...]

[...] Ruburt has exercised often because separate portions of the body were ready for certain motions, while the overall balance for walking, for example, was not present, since various areas of the body were changing at different rates. [...]

[...] You have a good understanding of reincarnation that Ruburt has lacked, yet that has been counterbalanced by a disinclination to encounter personalities directly in contact in the present. [...]

[...] You have become willing now to encounter present personalities directly. [...]

[...] My consciousness does not normally operate at the same speeds as yours, either, so what I am saying has long ago, in my terms, been said, while in your present it is new, or just reaching you.

[...] As the personality on your plane actually changes, expands and grows according to its potentialities, as it presents at various times varied images to the world, such as—if you’ll excuse me for using clichés—a smiling face, a sorrowful face, but is still basically the same personality, so on another level does the entity present at various times a varied appearance and speak in a different voice. [...] That is, in many cases for the previous incarnated personalities to correspond with the present personality. It is a means of acquainting the present personality with its past and also of reminding it of its goals, without disturbing that blatant awake ego.

[...] When I mentioned homework I was not thinking of anything so strenuous, or certainly suggesting anything that could be so dangerous to you at the present time.

[...] Through means I cannot explain at this date I could not speak through Ruburt without you, and a kink in your own present personality would quite prevent me from communicating with you alone, if indeed Ruburt would allow it. [...]

[...] When you leave your home station, those objects and events no longer present themselves in the same fashion.

[...] You are in far greater danger the longer you inhibit your natural feelings, and alterations of consciousness often present you with the framework in which these come to light. [...]

[...] On the contrary, they are often highly therapeutic, and they present the personality with an alternative — an alternative to continued repression that would be literally unbearable.

[...] Many of your best snapshots of other realities are taken in your dreams.⁵ They may be over-or-underdeveloped, and the focus may be blurred, but your dreams present you with far more information about the unknown reality than you suppose. [...]

You will need perhaps to reread your material on the spacious present, since our explanation here will be necessarily in terms of sequence of events, when as you know in the spacious present events are actually simultaneous. [...]

[...] The neutrality is protective, a duration within the spacious present, where nevertheless there is a certain acceleration in terms of value fulfillment.

Remembering again your material of the spacious present, a portion of personality retention however still surrounds those physical reference points with which the personality was familiar.

Up to now you both have been playing the illness game strongly, in your imagination both creating symptoms, imprisoning Ruburt within them in the present, seeing them in the future, and examining future events in the light of present symptoms.

The abilities have always been present, however, latent as within each man health is there, though perhaps latent in the same way. [...]

[...] The “as if” game brings the picture of health into the present. [...]

This is done in such a way, when it is done correctly, so that no comparisons against present behavior is involved. [...]
