(Now here are excerpts from the account she wrote for me of her experiences involving the rain-puddle creature and the light on the evening of February 2. Jane’s narrative and poetry supplement Seth’s own words, and show how she became consciously aware of the unique transformation of her original poetic ideas into visual reality — and how she then carried the creative process another step by converting her new perceptions into more poetry. [...] You simply invented a continual time system as a vehicle of perception for the ego, and it operates at that level only.

[...] And it began with you and in response to inner legitimate information and perception.

To follow the above material, let us emphasize the importance here of a clear, honest, perceptive intellect, for it is largely upon the intellect that the ego depends. [...]

[...] Many other personality structures do not need a materialized perceptive framework such as this, but an inner psychic organization is always present.

Within a fairly decent amount of time, Ruburt and I will be able to work hand in hand, so that our own separate perceptions will build up together, to a more or less precise picture of the object involved. [...]

The invisible barriers of which I have spoken hold you back, so that when your perception fails to yield results then you imagine that there is nothing to perceive. [...]

[...] You would call the fruits, I am sure, extra benefits or extrasensory perceptions. [...]

[...] But Jane’s perception of the object was necessary in order for her to give the data pertaining to Barbara and Dick, and her own feelings.

The basic action of the first dream involved his reception, his clear perception, of several voices within his head. [...]

A study of any up-to-date scientific thesis on the nature of sensual perception in general will show you that sense data exists independent of the perceiver, yet not necessarily in physical terms.

[...] Basically, even the physical universe itself is so constructed, but for all practical purposes, as far as perception and experience is concerned, time and physical growth apply. [...]

[...] It regards a method of perception that you use subconsciously but never recognize—a sense that is something like the way you register temperature.

[...] The material in the sessions is exhilarating, painful, enlightening, perceptive, frustrating, and maddening by turn—and sometimes, it seems, all of those things at once. [...]

(Here I asked Seth if the strong thrilling sensations I’d repeatedly felt at the time had anything to do with my perceptions of the “ghost images” of Maumee and her surroundings. [...]

[...] If the object is touched and not seen or otherwise perceived, then in his self-perspective it exists only in the realm of his sensual perception of it. [...]

[...] Now, when she comes to our apartment, she senses this other Jane and Rob moving about just beyond the focus of our normal perceptions.
