“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(My two questions for Seth concerned the small lumps on the underside of Jane’s left arm, including one on her elbow, and the bright redness of the palms of her hands that I noticed the other day. [...]

I say the same thing to you so often because in one way or another I hope to get through the opposite accumulation of seeming evidence to the contrary, for you are everywhere surrounded by it. [...]

[...] More leg motions, including the right one. “I’m waiting for all of these motions I’m doing to coordinate themselves, in one big motion,” she said. [...]

[...] The left ankle, say, would be one of the signs leading the way, then, or the shoulders or the head or the neck. [...]

At one level Ruburt did allow himself to participate in a very difficult health situation. There were many questions he asked himself about his mother’s condition in particular (Marie is a bedridden arthritic), and about such situations in general, and he did indeed allow himself to go along on one level to provide an extraordinary impetus that he felt would be needed to conquer such extraordinary conditions.

[...] To me, they already seem better tonight, although they’ve each had but one pill for the itching.

(So much time passed this afternoon that I thought Jane had passed up a session, but finally, after we’d talked some more, she said she wanted to have a short one. [...]

The entire question is a deeply creative one, bringing about insights that he felt were highly vital. [...]

[...] While the technique does have its advantages, it also pits one portion of the self against the other. [...]

Behind the entire problem, however, is the fear of using one’s full power or energy. [...]

The fear that blocks that energy can indeed be dissipated if new beliefs are inserted for old ones — so again we return to those emotional attitudes and ideas that automatically promote health and healing. [...]

[...] You are simply not as aware of them as you are of normally conscious ones. [...]

The direct expression through writing confuses him, for he is faced with a different kind of construction, say, than one might feel in a kindergarten, where blocks of wood carry the alphabet, and physical blocks might be moved around to form words. [...]

Unless Ruburt does, no one will remark about this young man. No one will trace the beneficial change in his life, and their effects upon others.

[...] If you want to change the world for the better, but you believe it cannot be changed one whit, then you are a pessimist, and your idealism will only haunt you. [...]

You seem to think that there is an expanse of time between reincarnational existences, that one follows the other as one moment seems to follow another. Because you perceive a reality of cause and effect, you hypothesize a reality in which one life affects the next one. [...]

As far as Ruburt’s motions are concerned, the body is following its own rhythms, which will sometimes involve overt, noticeable exercise and activity on the one hand, while on the other it exercises internally, so to speak, making all preparations for the other later exercises and motion. [...]

[...] We were both tired, but I wondered if this could turn out to be an episode like the one she’d experienced before the last session, when she dictated material on the various neurological actions, or speeds, that she sensed. [...]

(She added that her situation this evening was like the one mentioned by her in the material presented in Appendix 5. She was open to my suggestions: If I prompted her, she could go right into a session and get the information. [...]

“We consider anything that doesn’t seem like usual consciousness to be pathological in one way or another. [...]

The species is in a state of transition, one of many. This one began, generally speaking, when the species tried to step apart from nature in order to develop the unique kind of consciousness that is presently your own. A species that senses a lack of this quality can in one way or another destroy its offspring — not because they could not survive otherwise, but because the quality of that survival would bring about vast suffering, for example, so distorting the nature of life as to almost make a mockery of it. Despite all my previous ideas and common sense, I knew that time wasn’t a series of moments one before the other, each one like a clothespin stuck on a line, but that all experience existed in some kind of eternal now. [...]

The fact is, that even in your own universe all of your camouflage forms are not perceived by any one species, your own included. At best your scientists will only discover more of these camouflage patterns, but the entire system will simply not be perceived by any one species, and you will never perceive camouflage patterns outside of your own patterns. [...]

(Sunday, May 10, 9:15 PM: I feel this is one of my best experiences to date. I heard many snatches of a conversation between my mother and father, and I had one clear very brief glimpse of the back of my father’s head and shoulders as he pushed through a screen doorway. [...]

[...] This is not the now-familiar sensation of swelling in the fingers and the palm, but rather one of actual physical increase in size. [...]
