Give us a moment … (Humorously, to me:) You are the living version of yourself in space and time, around which your world revolves.¹¹ The great potentiality that exists in the unknown self, however, also actualizes other such focuses, and in the same space-time framework. [...]

[...] Now she reminded me that she misses keeping up with Seth’s dictation — that she has trouble deciphering my personal shorthand, and that not knowing what Seth has been saying makes her feel “uneasy.” [...]

Now—let me answer that one, and give a living example, a recent one.

(Here, unexpectedly, Seth referred to a large portrait I’ve been working on for the last month and the one that gave me so much trouble today. [...]

[...] That night in bed, without trying for the desired state, I saw within many brief woodland scenes; they flashed before me as though projected. [...] Each was different, none of them involved people or sound, and none of them reminded me of places we had seen or visited through the day.

This refers me back to your false cause and effect theory. [...]

[...] All of us experience such altered states of consciousness often throughout each day, so the phrase itself should hardly mean anything mysterious — even though others usually look at Jane or me questioningly if either of us uses it in conversation.

(Our curiosity about such speculations led me to plan this appendix shortly after the 711th session was held, and I asked Jane if Seth could eventually offer some insights about the brain’s electrical reality. [...]

Projections from the dream state intrigue me because in them I believe we encounter the inside of our own consciousness in a most direct fashion. [...]

(For the next four paragraphs, I experienced many instances of what I thought might be telepathy between Jane and me. [...]

[...] At your level the sieve of the subconscious is a necessity and that is one of the main reasons why Ruburt dissociates during our sessions, even though his experience of inner reality is received secondhanded, so to speak, through me.

[...] The painting represented a new approach in art for me, and had caused me a good deal of puzzlement at first. [...]

Our Ruburt did indeed steal from me a few paragraphs in his book, that were not rightfully his in one manner of speaking. [...]

(Jane now told me that just before Seth mentioned the phone call in the session, she had an image of a man in the distance, in a kind of milky fog or atmosphere. [...]

Now first of all Joseph, when I speak too quickly you simply must tell me so. [...]

I am indeed aware of many of the events in both of your lives, but it is relatively simple for me to so acquaint myself with your situations. [...]

[...] There are other reasons which, if you will excuse me, we shall not consider this evening simply because you do not yet have a basic understanding of certain issues which are involved. [...]

[...] (Jane’s voice grew abruptly much louder, briefly.) And if I grow overenthusiastic I trust that you will forgive me. [...]

[...] In our sessions I usually bring additional energy with me, and Ruburt knows how to handle it. [...]

[...] (Jane pointed at me for emphasis.)He knows it is being released. [...]

(10:22.) Now Seth came through with some material for Jane and me, including his interpretations — in his usual acute manner — of three of my recent dreams. [...]
