5. Seth’s statement here reminded me of my question about the consciousness of our species, as noted at the end of Session 699, in Volume 1.

[...] As in the last session, Seth closed the evening’s work by delivering a page of personal material for Jane and me. [...]

[...] After listening to my description of this session, however, she asked me to give her a copy of a couple of pages after I typed them. [...]

The material he received from me (Monday evening) was from me, and his suggestion that you work late that evening was the result of a creative impulse on his part. [...]

Seth began by saying gently, “Your feelings toward me are connected with other attitudes deeply ingrained within you. [...] Now you think of me as an old but wise, extremely powerful male adult, as you thought of your father when you were a child. [...]

[...] There were other details, but the interesting thing was that Mrs. Lowe told me afterward that she was really crazy about horses, and that Greece and France were the only countries in which she had any great interest.

This material reminds me of Seth in the 681st session in Volume 1: “The deeper explanations, however [in this case of probabilities], demand a further expansion of ideas of consciousness … It is not so much a matter of Ruburt’s vocabulary, incidentally, since even a specialized scientific one would only present these ideas in its own distorted fashion. [...] The thought came to me after supper that Jane’s doing the ESP classes probably contributed to the symptoms over the years, since the class situation was one in which she advanced her unconventional ideas to the public. [...]

[...] Neighbor John Bumbalo took delivery of the package yesterday afternoon while I was at the hospital, and brought it over as soon as he saw me drive into the garage. [...]

[...] There is, as Joseph (Seth’s name for me) said in our break, no magic therapy — only an understanding of your own great creativity, and the knowledge that you yourself make your world.
