[...] The link here being that a parking ticket was also obtained, and saved by me, during Saturday’s visit; this ticket was the same except for the serial number as the ticket used as object.

(First, though, let me explain an odd development. [...]

(9:56 P.M. “Boy, how he got all that out of me, I don’t know,” Jane laughed, for she had been very relaxed before the session. [...]

[...] To Jane and me, it seemed as if his material was being enacted in real life as the ideal demonstration of Seth’s material. [...]

(I might add here that the Jonestown affair reminded me at once of the mass suicide of the defenders of the Jewish stronghold of Masada, in the First Century AD, in Israel. [...]

[...] Shortly before she went into trance at 9:15, she whispered to me “The other one,” meaning that Seth’s entity would speak. [...]

[...] Physically you would find me a mass smaller than a brown nut, for my energy is so highly concentrated. [...]

[...] To some extent you felt you had to prove your worth as a conventional male, in—if you will forgive me—the narrowest of parochial terms, though you were possessed of abilities that were considered conventionally male only if they could be suitably laundered: art turned into commercial work, and other creative abilities, such as your writing, that at one time could have turned into several fields—the writing of Westerns, even. [...] The more you each developed your individual abilities, the less you fit the sexual stereotypes to which your family (to me) in particular believed in so firmly. [...]

[...] She also realized she was aware of what she dictated to me during the session, although not the word-for-word order of the material. [...] She obtained the information one way, and passed it on to me another way.

(She’s been sleeping in the mornings because I haven’t called her at 6:15 when I get up, but starting tomorrow she plans to get up with me so we have enough time through the day to do more things. [...]

(I was so absorbed typing that Jane had to call me three times for the session. [...]

[...] It came to seem to me that finishing this latest book would only be more of the same, with the same attitudes and beliefs behind it—hence, how could it help? [...]

[...] Second, the idea of my drawings makes me think that others must have done it already, not once but many times. [...]

[...] “It seems to me,” I said to Jane, “that if science wants to be believed, it should offer some data that are at least reasonably convincing. [...]

2. After the session Jane told me she’d had the thought during an idle moment early last week, but had forgotten to mention it. [...]

[...] Let me briefly continue that early Seth material here: “In drawing up his list of so-called natural laws, I have said (in the 16th session) that man decided that what appeared to be cause and effect to him was, therefore, a natural law of the universe. [...]

(Just before 9:45 Jane told me I could have material from Seth on the glasses idea, or on his book. [...]

[...] [They began to approach those described in the 639th session in Chapter Ten, and the 653rd session in Chapter Thirteen, to name but two such instances mentioned in this book.] Finally she called me at 3:30 p.m. as I was painting in my studio, and read Silver Brothers to me. [...]

(The vision was very clear, lasted for a long enough period to observe easily, and gave me strong thrilling sensations. [...]

[...] Therefore when you are true to yourself, when you materialize these paintings clearly, there is also (Jane pointed at me emphatically eyes open wide) within them a ground of knowledge, intuition and being, that is instantly felt by all other individuals.

[...] She’d noticed my expression as I lay sleeping on my back: “One of bliss, almost, though I don’t like the word, and it’s not the right one anyhow,” she told me the next morning. [...]

[...] He’d stopped by on his way home to give me my old lenses, since he’d forgotten to do so at his office four days ago, when I’d had them replaced in my favorite old frames by the new, weaker lenses. [...]

[...] But then you are usually kind to me. [...]

And to some extent, though I am here, you will at times project that idea of a god upon me, though I do indeed go out of my way to give evidence, at least evidence of grace and humor. [...]

[...] Jane’s eyes were open for the most part by now, and she, or Seth, often looked deliberately at me, knowing my embarrassment. [...]

Seth said the practice involved in such unscheduled sessions was good for me. [...]

[...] I’m very sensitive to tooth troubles, of course, and probably project some of this upon others; but Jane’s losing the tooth reminded me of Seth’s very recent declaration that she might lose more teeth because of the relaxation taking place in her jaws. [...]

[...] Make a decision, however, whatever it is, and stick to it in any case—that is, in any given case: you follow me? [...]

(And I’d say that Seth’s material on Jane and me represents a probable reality for us—that those things DID happen elsewhere….
