[...] She’s helped a great deal here, writing the initial version of certain notes, which I’ll then add to before returning the manuscript to Prentice-Hall for printing.

[...] And I’ll often get things like I did the first part of this session, when I was busy with the dishes. I’ll notice it, then say to myself that I’ll tell Rob later.... [...]

[...] “Like you’ll come across something in a TV drama, or see it in a newspaper or hear about it, and it has quite a charge for you—only you’ll never connect it up with the dream you might have had the night before.”

[...] Obvious, but intriguing: We’ll be joining the present residents of the hill neighborhood in forming a newer psychic and psychological entity than the one that existed before we arrived. Yet the full picture of our moving should include not only the myriad probabilities growing out of our own actions, but all of the probable developments involving that house next door: Whatever happenings take place there — which we’ll help create — are bound to have their effects upon us.

Our own plans to relocate, however, plus those of the family next door (whom we’ll never get to know), reminded me of the material Seth gave at 11:25 for the 737th session, to the effect that any important decision we make organizes the patterns of probability set into motion: “This should be obvious … Unconsciously, then, the movers are in league with each other. [...]

[...] It’ll be interesting to see what — if any — house connections develop.

[...] So we’ll see. [...]

[...] I guess I’ll try to start.”)

(And Jane, now I’ll tell you that as you had a crying spell last night—so have I at various times since you went into the hospital last April. [...]

(I’ll preface the workaday notes for the first session of Mass Events with the following comments, just to briefly summarize the lifetime endeavor that my wife, Jane Roberts, and I are involved in with the Seth books. [...] Details about some of the subjects I’ll mention here can emerge as this book proceeds, or others are referred to. [...]

3. Seth’s delivery is remarkably clear and unambiguous, but once in a while he’ll come through with an awkward sentence (as we all do), or one that combines the singular and the plural when one or the other should be used throughout, or he’ll repeat a certain word too often. [...]

(I also think that Seth himself could have some pretty funny things to say here to Jane and me — some day I’ll ask him — words with which he’d humorously caution us not to take the whole affair too seriously, to leave room in our daily lives for the simple, uninhibited joy of creative expression and living even while we study his unending outpouring of material. (“Maybe if you’ll let me mutter on,” Jane said, with nearly a laugh. [...]

Someday we’ll have a party. [...] And I’ll get down to brass tacks on Denmark one of these days, you old son of a gun, Joseph.

I am leaving your past, that is immediate-past lives, for future reference because I’ll have such fun with you when the time comes. [...]
