(After the session Jane found herself giving some impressions on her own, again involving John and his company and related personnel. [...] Most of it was precognitive, involving Detroit to some extent and a group of men there; although the data was quite clear to Jane, John could offer little help re interpretation.)

[...] The first part of the session however takes off on various matters Jane, John and I were discussing before session time, and so is unplanned. [...]

(Adding to the 11:05 note on sound: The 1971-72 sessions mentioned there also contained much about the inner meanings of sound and Jane’s development and use of Sumari — and once again I refer the reader to her Introduction. [...] One of its services will be to teach Jane to free her inner cognitions enough so that she can translate Speaker manuscripts without distorting them out of all proportion.

(As Seth, Jane paused during her delivery. [...]

(End at 11:37 p.m. Jane still felt more or less relaxed — “floppy.” [...]

(This afternoon I told Jane I’d like some data on two questions: her weight, and her walking, neither of which had improved. [...] At 9:33, Jane got an impression—twice, quickly—of a death and funeral flowers, she said. [...]

[...] Somebody’s [meaning Jane] losing their voice.”

(Jane had been speaking very softly, in a very dry and husky voice that I thought was getting worse by the minute. [...]

“Is all of this Jane’s subconscious talking?” Rob asked.

[...] “If you call me Joseph, what do you call Jane?”

[...] I don’t think Jane likes it either.”

“Looking at Jane and knowing her natural feminine voice so well, I had to think twice to realize that this other new voice was issuing from her in such volume, and with no strain at all. I don’t know whether I was more surprised at the fact that Jane seemed not at all disturbed by this voice, or by the fact that it had such a definite deep and masculine tone.”

[...] Now I stood almost in front of him, the un-Jane-like open eyes staring at him as if to make sure he understood what was being said.

[...] As Seth I touched a begonia plant (one of my favorites) and said, “I like Jane’s plant. [...]

(I had another of my “insights” while painting this morning, and talked it over with Jane after supper tonight. [...]

[...] Jane had been quite blue after sleeping for a couple of hours late this afternoon—and after she’d already slept for two hours this morning. [...]

(Jane didn’t react overly much to any of this, beyond implying at least a general sort of agreement. [...]

(That one had been concerned exclusively with the Second World War, Jane said with some surprise, and had contained amazingly complete information on the war’s origins and the individual, racial, and reincarnational aspects of it as experienced by the peoples of various nations, whether or not said nations had been directly involved in it. [...] “All of that was coming from that way,” Jane pointed to her lower left. [...]

[...] (Jane, as Seth, patted her midriff.) The remark was meant symbolically. [...]

[...] Jane’s trance had been deep on a very humid night. [...]

[...] It was about spontaneity and joy, etc.—obvious things, really, which become self-evident once mentioned—and how Jane’s symptoms represent our joint negative thoughts. [...]

[...] Jane and I were discussing the session when Seth came through briefly at 11:35:)

Now: Dictation: Ruburt and Joseph (as Seth calls Jane and me) have always seen themselves in a one-to-one relationship with nature and with the universe. [...]

[...] “I was getting a lot of other stuff, too, but it doesn’t belong in the book so Seth didn’t say it,” Jane told me, “about different people we met during the flood thing.” [...]

[...] For Jane added that she’d also had information about herself available — again, “in between….” [...]

(10:22.) Now Seth came through with some material for Jane and me, including his interpretations — in his usual acute manner — of three of my recent dreams. [...]

(Jane said her eyes were feeling much better, although “full of moisture,” and that the copying work she did on James, following Seth’s suggestions in the last session, went well. [...]

[...] I imagine I react to it in somewhat the same way that Jane does to her “responsiveness.”)

(Seth’s material earlier this evening, about responsiveness to the world, in whatever form one chose, reminded me of an idea I’d mentioned to Jane last week. [...]

(A long session was held by Jane for her ESP class on Tuesday, April 2, 1968. [...]

(Once again Jane began speaking while in a deep trance, eyes open often, animated, good pace, average voice.)
