(Jane and I have been attending to the mechanics of publishing affairs more than ever since she held the 831st session two weeks ago [on January 15]. [...] Then Jane, in a typical burst of inspiration the next day, began writing her third Seven book: Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time.

(I told Jane that I think Seth’s material on the animals’ sense equivalents of human civilizations is the best of its kind I’ve ever heard — most evocative indeed. [...]

[...] Just as she went into trance, Jane leaned forward to switch on the recorder, and had a little difficulty.)

[...] Jane’s eyes opened often; her voice was a bit stronger than average.)

[...] The exchange between Seth and Bill Gallagher developed because last week, one evening, Jane succeeded in waking both Bill and Peg between 3 and 4 AM.

Jane felt tired and harried as we sat for the session at about 8:50. [...] “I really get pooped, going over the mail,” Jane said, “but some of them are great letters.” [...]

First, though, they’re to visit still another member from class who lives in a nearby town: He has tapes of some early class sessions that Jane had forgotten about; copies of the tapes will be made. “The kids” from the city are to call tomorrow, to learn if Jane will see them. [...]

(10:26 P.M. “Jesus, I was so exhausted before the session, but I really had the feeling that we were getting some good stuff,” Jane said as soon as she was out of trance. [...]

(Jane’s pace had slowed up. Now the phone began to ring in Jane’s workroom, across the hall. [...] Presumably Jane could too, but she appeared to be not bothered as she sat in trance.)

[...] Jane’s trance had been good, her pace mostly fast. [...] Jane also had images, but Seth never vocalized what they meant. [...]

[...] Jane had visualized a painting of houses and trees. [...]

[...] It’s transmission is a couple of years away, though, according to the way Jane and I have been producing these books. I did mention one thought to Jane that would speed things up. [...] Jane could write a lengthy Intro or Preface if she cared to, explaining all the mechanics, the trances, etc., connected with the book’s production.

(Jane, as Seth, pointed to our kitchen door. [...]

[...] Jane held up her empty glass; before the session I’d filled it with equal parts of wine and water.)

[...] Jane’s trance had been deep. [...] Jane was pleased, saying she felt quite free now about the production of the book.)

[...] Jane was surprised to learn that almost fifty minutes had passed. [...] Because I was willing to continue, Jane changed her mind about ending the session here. [...]

(Jane was very pleased now that Seth’s book was firmly under way after so many delays. [...]

[...] Jane’s pace had been good throughout, and I thought the material excellent. [...] Jane wants me to add here that she has had many improvements today, in the eyes as well as other parts of the body. [...]

[...] As we waited for tonight’s session Jane said she “got sort of down” because of this, yet added that there was no doubt her right leg was doing good things about straightening more. [...]

(I’d forgotten Jane’s questions in the last session, about the inoculation of humans and animals.)

[...] Jane was better today, and 330 wasn’t bad at all, with the air conditioner going, the fan on, and the windows wide open. [...] I worked on mail after helping Jane eat lunch, until she said she was ready for a session. [...]

[...] Leanne came in to check Jane’s vitals — they were all normal — and to give her Darvoset. [...]

(4:35 p.m. It was getting late, and I didn’t read the session to Jane.)

(Carla, the aide who used to help Jane call me late at night, has been on vacation. [...] Maybe when she can call me again, Jane will feel better.)

[...] Jane seemed to feel a bit better today.)

(4:26 p.m. No one had shown up to do Jane’s vitals — which meant that the staff was behind schedule. [...]

(Anyhow, as I’ve explained to Jane lately, the method seems to be working fairly well, and I expect more success with it once I become accustomed to dealing with it. [...] The result of this activity is that I find myself focusing on a few things I think really important: Writing, painting, my love for Jane, the sessions, the house, the cats, etc. [...]

(My own activities, then, have aroused in Jane the urge to try the same approach, and I’ve suggested she think of her own women numbers 1 and 2. It seems that she confronts the same basic challenges I do, I told her, so she could delineate the two opposing portions of her personality well enough to understand that many of her cultural beliefs have been imposed upon her natural, spontaneous, free, creative self, and to such an extent that the acquired beliefs have turned into detriments rather than aids, that she envisioned as helping her obtain what she wants in life. [...]

[...] “I had no idea he was going to do that,”” Jane said, meaning work on the new book. [...]

[...] “I’m so unsure of myself it must be terrible,” Jane said. [...]

[...] On Wednesday Jane had several lower teeth extracted here at the house by Paul O’Neill. [...]

(“Well, I was going to read Jane the page I wrote just before the session started, but I can do it next time.”)

[...] Jane was more than a little surprised at the quick end of the session. [...]

[...] “Well, since I was in trance when it was delivered, I can say that I haven’t heard it,” Jane laughed, “so that’s my excuse. [...]

[...] As Seth, Jane stared at me soberly.)

[...] Jane had been “really out, not aware of anything,” she said — but Seth promptly returned when I voiced some doubts about using this material in his book.)

(Both of us wanted Seth to discuss the sudden relaxation of her upper body that Jane experienced last Friday afternoon when we made love. [...] We also wanted Seth to comment on Jane’s eye condition, which lately has taken a variety of states, some of them momentarily excellent.

(“I do feel a lot of material there, on all of this,” Jane said as we waited for the session to begin.)
