[...] I had written to Dr. Instream on June 1,1965 and sent him sessions 138, 141, 142, 149, 153 and 154, plus lists of the inner senses and the basic laws of the inner universe as defined by Seth. [...]

[...] I ask the reader to always keep in mind that no matter what subject he’s discussing, or from what viewpoint, Seth’s kind of “time” underlies all that our present physical senses translate into linear, concrete experience and history. [...]

It is not that the inner self is not aware of all of this, but that it has already chosen a framework, or a given frame of existence, that emphasizes certain kinds of experience over others.

[...] Briefly and very simply, Seth maintains that Framework 2, or inner reality, contains the creative source from which we form all events, and that by the proper focusing of attention we can draw from that vast subjective medium everything we need for a constructive, positive life in Framework 1, or physical reality. I am speaking now of religions so intertwined with social life and community ventures that all sense of basic religious integrity becomes lost. [...]

The more tolerant a religion is, the closer it comes to expressing those inner truths. [...]

(10:42.) The physically attuned conscious mind in your now cannot handle those staggering probabilities while maintaining a sense of identity, yet there are conscious traces within your daily thoughts that are the psychological representations of such knowledge.

[...] It’s enough to say here that it wasn’t until after these sessions began, in 1963, that I realized my inner models were quite as valid as those who physically sat before me. [...]

You stop, each of you, and think “Actually, how safe is this universe in which we dwell?” The money, or the need of it, in your particular situation, becomes merely a symbol for an inner sense that the universe is not safe, and so money becomes a needed security. [...]

[...] (Pause.) If you study this material closely, you will see that I have answered your question more clearly than you realize, and indeed in the only way that would make any sense at all.

[...] While the inner self is aware of this connection, the present self has been fooling itself to some degree, for it did not accept the intuitional knowledge. [...]

[...] I have said before that in one way or another each living cell is united with each other living cell through a system of inner communication. [...]

[...] That means simply that each form of life seeks toward the fulfillment and unfolding of all of the capacities that it senses within its living framework, knowing that in that individual fulfillment each other species of life is also benefited.

“Seth’s data and my own on counterparts make sense to me. [...]

[...] If so, do we do this frequently, so that our private fantasies have an inner coherence with those of our fellow human beings — and connections with them — that quite escapes our usual notice?

[...] So the portions of your psyche that you recognize as yourself are significant and intimate and real, because of the inner pauses or silences that are not actualized, but are a part of your greater being.

Now imagine a composition in which the pauses and the silences that you do not hear are sounded — and the notes that you hear are instead the unheard inner structure.

(10:35.) Augustus Two was filled with a sense of power — because Augustus considered power wrong and set it aside from what he thought of as his normal self. [...]

[...] As Seth told us in Session 20, on January 23, 1964: “Time and space, dear friends, are both camouflage patterns, therefore the fact that the inner senses can conquer time and space is not, after all, so surprising. To the mind with its subconscious, and to the inner senses, there is no time or space....” [...]

I’m certainly not writing here about the idea of redemption in the ordinary religious sense, although I think it’s perfectly possible that in some other frameworks, larger than our taken-for-granted physical and psychological one, the idea of redemption—of understanding and embracing—may be involved in a “religious” sense, as part of an intuitive grasp of All That Is.

[...] Our gross physical senses, and indeed our very bodies, insist upon interpreting the spacious present in linear terms, however—through the inevitable processes of birth, aging, and death—so to help us get his point here Seth advances his ideas of reincarnational selves and counterpart selves in ways we can understand sensually.

[...] The former is physical, the latter is psychic, a part of our inner bank of knowledge. [...]

[...] The search for detail leads us further away from the larger sensed dimensions in which those facts must lie.

For the inner self can perceive it, and does change it. [...]

[...] She had no special thoughts about the evening’s test data except to say that none of the impressions she heard herself giving made any sense to her.

[...] Social organizations, clubs, and other frameworks of course to some extent apply here, and supply for many people frameworks in which certain relationships can be encountered that are specific—limited in some ways, perhaps, to certain specific interests, and yet they give a sense of belonging.

[...] You do not want blind followers, as once you had them, but you do want to create your own kind of inner civilization, and you are.

[...] The family compromises began long ago, out of a misguided sense of sympathy, and now to some extent or another will continue. [...]

[...] Help given spontaneously out of love is the only kind of real help to giver or receiver, and yet this important kind of help is often denied expression because of the inner resentments.

(I can say that when Seth/Jane paused before delivering this last line, I had the feeling that some kind of inner shift in control had taken place; that Seth rather than Jane was responsible for the last line of material. There was no objective evidence on which I could base this feeling, yet I sensed it. [...]

[...] There is a compliance on the part of the ego, however, that allows it to step aside so that it does not block inner awareness of other-dimensional existence. [...]

[...] As your common sense protects you in the physical universe, so you must use discretion as you progress into the manipulation of dream objects.
