Your technological communication system is a conscious construct—a magnificent one—but one that is based upon your innate knowledge of the inner, cellular communication between all species. [...]

[...] (Pause.) The reincarnational aspects of physical life, however, serve a very important purpose, providing an inner subjective background. [...]

[...] Even to try and verbally present such material necessitates alterations involving perception, for while that gridwork appears quite stable to your senses, giving you a reliable picture of reality, this is also because you have trained yourselves to pick up certain signals only. [...]

The children were also obviously involved, and the accident would give them a new lease on life, for they had sensed an overall pervading sense of despair that lay at the family’s center stone, so to speak.

[...] A true realistic exploration of the nature of experience would automatically study that kind of emotional interrelationship, but while your society delineates the inner particles of matter, it avoids the inner psychological “particles” that form the most intimate experiences of your lives.

His familiarity with our sessions has made it possible for him to become more aware of the constant communication that exists between the inner and the outer selves.

(John Bradley told us that when Seth mentioned his becoming aware of more inner communications in the future, he felt a twinge of fear. [...]

[...] Jane’s delivery had slowed considerably.) In somewhat the same way your identity changes constantly, even while you retain your sense of permanence. That sense of permanence rides upon endless changes — it is actually dependent upon those physical, spiritual, and psychic changes. [...]

There is indeed a communication existing that joins all of nature, an inner webwork, so that each part of the earth knows what its other parts are doing. [...]

The overall pattern of organization in a physical sense must be maintained however, and always under the auspices of the inner self, which is not imprisoned by its construction, although like any good guardian it spends most of its time at home, in maintaining the structure.

In traveling through the states of consciousness, these other personalities would try to attain some focus and perceive your environment, trying to make sense of data with which they are largely unacquainted. Since many of them are unaware of your idea of time, they would find it difficult to understand that you perceive events with intervals between, and would not perceive the inner organization that you thrust upon your normal environment. Now, to some small extent this evening, you are learning to apply generalized emotions in a personal sense. [...] Simply the discussion itself, and your own inner questions, will begin processes of discovery within yourselves. [...]

[...] We are speaking of an unburdening of the inner self as you now know it and a setting down of burdens so that you can get to work, for the burdens and the secrets represent boulders in your path, and you must either step around them or open up the skies of the soul so that they simply disintegrate in the sunshine. [...] Not experience with others, or relating with others, but to avoid inner experience. You are accepting secondhand experience through your reading and through the use of your intellect and then attempting to apply it, but without the inner experimentation. [...]

[...] That the inner identity, that you, is far more than you presently realize, and the best way to work toward such realization is to accept the self that your are now, as you are. [...]

[...] When man “awakened” in his physical body, however, and specialized in the use of its senses, he no longer perceived the released dream body of the slain animal running away, still cavorting on the hillside. [...] He became more and more aware of his physical senses, however: Some things were definitely pleasant and some were not. [...]

[...] He becomes fully operational in his physical body, and while awake can only sense the dream body that had earlier been so real to him. [...]

The sense of separation is, in those terms, initially almost shattering. [...]

[...] He was gifted with strong clear instincts that were meant to lead him toward his own greatest development, to his own greatest fulfillment, in such a way that he also helped to bring about the highest potentials of all of the other species of consciousness (intently). His natural impulses were meant to provide inner directives that would guide him in just such a direction, so that he sought what was the best for himself and for others.

With the full use of the inner senses, however, it is theoretically possible to perceive all the shapes and forms that have ever been, or will ever be, adopted by the atoms and molecules that compose the particular chair. [...] It is true to say that in one sense both you and Ruburt are a part of the table and the chair, and the room in which they sit.

[...] Your exterior circumstances are the materializations of inner climate.

[...] It has a counterpart that can, under given conditions, be perceived exclusively in terms of any of your senses.

[...] You are still dealing in terms of your senses, however. [...]

As you know the subconscious is an extension into your field of the inner self, and with those so talented the subconscious, when correctly referred to, will lead to hard facts of the inner universe, with which every inner self is thoroughly acquainted. [...]

Your senses do not perceive this. [...] Nevertheless, for all the appearance of permanence and rigidity, your chair is only a chair by virtue of your own concept—gestalt, that is in itself severely limited due to the limitations of outer senses. [...]

When his senses, his outer senses, do not perceive a physical object in his self-perspective (and hyphenate that please), in his self-perspective, the object simply does not exist. [...]

Man will learn yet that the outer universe can only be discovered in terms of inner knowledge. [...]
