This first attempt to discover the problem, automatically and because of its nature, immediately aids the sufferer in changing the focus of his attention away from the symptom, which he has himself formed, and already the symptom is weaker.

[...] Expectation to a large extent determines the manner in which we will use this energy, and the types of constructions that will be formed. [...]

[...] There comes a time when the experiences of the person in the world click together and form a new clearer focus, provide a new psychological framework from which his or her greatest capacities can emerge to form a new synthesis. [...]

[...] Material from the inner senses is seldom experienced in its true form. [...]

I wrote four more poems of varying merit about that one event and behind the whole affair was defiant recognition of the value of any consciousness, whatever its form. [...]

Unknowingly, in my poetry I had barely begun to form some concepts that would help me. [...]

Two of these statements may appear at first glance to contradict themselves, but you shall shortly see that they do not, and you are left for now with a pretty question: for does the self, or identity, then form the perceptive dimension in which it exists, or is it created by the dimension?

You were dealing, indeed, with a legitimate perception into a dimension outside of the ones with which you are familiar, and with a distortion of a sort on your part, as once again you attempted to translate inner data into a form that could be perceived by the physical senses.

If you realize that your beliefs form your experience, then you do indeed have an excellent chance of changing your beliefs, and hence your experience.

In a larger sense, for example, the Catholic Church was originally formed as a psychic organization, on psychic levels, by large groups of individuals, as the mass psyche formed the basis of Christianity. [...]

Identity could be called a strong organizing characteristic that perceives impressions in definite ordered form. [...]

[...] You perceive directly psychological experiences, but you do not perceive these in their undiluted form. [...]

As a personality is molded by his exterior circumstances, so is he also molded by the dreams that he creates, and which help to form his interior or psychic environment. [...]
