2–3 PM: Finished James chapter one; very pleased.

[...] I agreed that it would certainly encapsulate our whole civilized world structure before Seth finished it. [...] She wanted to know what would happen to Seth’s book on dreams in the meantime, and I explained that it would only wait until the other project was finished. [...]

[...] It’s Wednesday as I finish typing it. [...]

(As I finished it this evening, however, I can see now that the session is even a better one that I’d thought. [...]

[...] We freeze them, so to speak, in order that we might hold them within our grasp, but we cannot, nor is there a time, as such, when they will be completed or finished.

Yet this initial experience is not completed and it is not finished. [...]

Neither, then, is the ego ever finished, nor the inner self, nor the entity. [...]

[...] She finished with the tentative understanding that by midnight she’d receive another call, after there had been time to check her second set of impressions. [...]

[...] By the time she was finished it was 11:38.

(And just as I added much later to Note 7 for Session 688: Even though we were interested in questions of human origins, in those terms, we never resolved them before Seth finished “Unknown” Reality.)

(A note: I thought it would be of interest to show, by periodically recording the time, how long Seth takes to deliver a certain amount of finished material for his book.)

(I’m sure I said more at the time, but they don’t seem to return easily to conscious recall as I finish this session late in the evening. [...]

All That Is is not done and finished.

[...] Ultimately a completed or finished God, or All That Is, would end up smothering His creation. [...]

(We’ve been having but one session a week while I’ve been typing the finished manuscript for Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality. [...] On the other hand, it’s great to see the finished pages for “Unknown” pile up.

(Jane had had two interruptions by this point, from staff, and for whatever reasons couldn’t finish the poem. [...]

[...] As usual, though, she finished up better than she’d been when she started.

We will shortly be finished with Chapter One. [...]

(Jane called, with nurse Carla’s help, as I finished this session after 10:00 p.m.)

(Seth finished dictating his last book, The “Unknown” Reality: A Seth Book, three months ago, in the 744th session for April 23. [...] As soon as I realized why she was holding off, I decided to put her back to work on the Seth material, even though she hasn’t yet finished her own Psychic Politics.

[...] How can it exist one moment and be finished the next, and yet be replayed when the conditions are correct? [...]

[...] It’s of a dream image I had on November 8, 1981, although I didn’t finish the painting until February 1983—one of the last I’ve done.

(Beside the girl’s portrait sat another small portrait of a man which I’d also finished this year, early. [...]

[...] She finished in 12 minutes, though, doing better as she went along, until she finished up in good style. [...]

(Jane told me that she’d had her catheter changed at 11:30 this morning, and had just finished having her dressings done before I arrived. [...]

(With Carla’s help, Jane called me at 9:47 p.m., just as I was finishing typing this session. [...]

1. Speaking of books: Even with all of the help Jane has given me lately on Psyche and Volume 2 of “Unknown” Reality (see the opening notes for sessions 821 and 823, respectively), I’m still only too conscious of the work I have to do to finish the notes and other material for both books, and put together their manuscripts for the publisher. [...] At times this feeling can beset me, and I may find myself trying to estimate the number of weeks it’ll take me to finish Volume 2 first, then Psyche.

[...] And when the painting is finished, the artist contemplates a new reality of his or her own creation.

I am satisfied with the manner in which you decided to finish our last book. [...]
