(I finished early so I’d have some extra time to open the account for Jane’s hospital expenses — but wouldn’t you know it, the phone rang at 11:50 a.m. It was someone from social services at the hospital. [...]

[...] Jane finished the session, doing very well indeed. [...]

[...] I was pretty comfortable for the rest of the afternoon in 330, and probably somewhat better than that now as I finish typing the session tonight at 9:20. [...]

Since it is late the session is finished—and yet because I am not finished, I will send each of you energy, information and revelations while you are sleeping that will be useful in important ways whether or not you consciously remember them. [...]

5. On our decision—R. finishes “Unknown” Reality—and later Psyche, maybe with my help?

[...] Our scrutiny will include spelling, punctuation, and all of the other indicia that people take for granted when they read the finished work. [...] We estimate that we should have the whole job finished and in the mail to Prentice-Hall in about 10 days.

[...] She finished her first novel about Seven in July 1972, and within a month, long before it was published, she wrote the first five chapters for Seven Two. [...]

[...] It also contains a number of ideas on heroics that she’d written after finishing that work. [...]

[...] The irony of the situation is that she’s been doing very well on Seven; just yesterday she’d remarked that she intended to begin typing finished copy for the chapters she’s completed so far. [...]

[...] “I feel real good, and Seth did well finishing that material,” Jane said. [...]

[...] This morning I finished marking Dreams for the publisher.

[...] I should have added that before the session Jane finally got through the session for March 19 by herself, after some hard going, and that I had to finish reading the last session to her myself.

(I went shopping at the Acme after I left Jane last night, got home about 8:30, and finished supper an hour later. [...]

[...] She went back to the session at 2:56, doing a little better, and finished at 3:09.

(Finished typing Chapter 5 of Dreams this morning.

Long before I finished my part of “Unknown” Reality, Seth and Jane had started their next book: The Nature of the Psyche: Its Human Expression. I recorded those sessions, of course, while keeping up with my own work. Jane finished her Psychic Politics, and began some new poetry and world-view material. [...]

Yet we think now that such extensive notes have served their purposes for Seth’s material, at least for some time, so those books-in-the-works will carry minimum notes — as they do, say, in Seth Speaks. For one thing, as I write this Epilogue, Seth has finished The Nature of the Psyche, and has already begun still another book. [...]

Also, Jane has long since completed The World View of Paul Cezanne: A Psychic Interpretation, which was published in 1977; and she’s finished The Afterdeath Journal of an American Philosopher: The World View of William James — both books growing out of the world-view material given by Seth in “Unknown” Reality.

[...] In one way they’re like casual jottings that she left half finished and unseen in her journals, until I found them when I began searching for fresh material for the frontmatter of this Volume 2 of Dreams. [...] At the same time, it’s as though she’s just finished the poems, so fresh and consistent do they seem to me. [...]

[...] Now that he’s finished the front porch, our contractor is free to begin work at the back of the house as soon as possible.)

[...] That consciousness is not a finished product, however, but one meant to change, [to] evolve and develop.” [...]

Platonic thought saw this inner world as perfect.⁴ As you think of it, however, perfection always suggests something done and finished, or beyond surpassing, and this of course denies the inherent characteristics of creativity, which do indeed always seek to surpass themselves. The Platonic, idealized inner world would ultimately result in a dead one, for in it the models for all exteriorizations were seen as already completed — finished and perfect.

[...] When Jane finished with certain challenges, Seth remarked, “… there will be a ‘birth’ of seemingly new concepts, simply because his [Jane’s] old mental barriers kept him from making certain important connections, and an increasing system of communication between waking and dreaming states.”

(Seth had told us last time that he was near the end of the chapter, but we hadn’t realized of course that he was to finish it with a sentence or two in the next session. [...]

[...] When we finished breakfast I read the session to Jane. [...] So we spent the day rearranging her things in the back room, and finished by nap time. [...]

(Note that I managed to finish Tuesday’s session last night after all, by working a bit later. [...]

[...] I’ve also thought of not finishing Dreams, but going back to painting for the rest of my life—another option. I know that sooner or later I’ll be doing this no matter what the outcome of our present situation is, whenever Dreams is finished, I suspect at this time. [...]

[...] Then Seth returned as I finished this note.

[...] It’s 9:45 as I finish typing this. [...]

[...] I was more interested at the moment in having Seth finish his analysis of Jane’s two dreams, which he began last session, and made it a point to say so just before the session tonight.
