The conditions, however, while “set” in one fashion, are highly plastic in another, so that a multitudinous variety of probable events can flow from them. [...]

[...] Very simply, probable realities flow from the multitudinous actions — or events — we may envision, but choose not to actualize physically. [...]

[...] For some months we’d known her death was coming, and so had arranged our affairs around that irrevocable event; I spent weeks preparing the final manuscript of Personal Reality for the publisher; Jane conducted her ESP class whenever she could, and worked on her two books, Adventures in Consciousness and Dialogues of the Soul and Mortal Self in Time. (Then another interesting little event—another sign—took place as I was preparing to leave room 330 tonight at 7:00 PM. [...]

[...] Because the entire mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual portions of the self are always stimulated to seek further growth and development and satisfaction, then it is quite possible for the mind to seize upon even the smallest event that will spontaneously release the person at least momentarily from depression, or even despair.

You will need perhaps to reread your material on the spacious present, since our explanation here will be necessarily in terms of sequence of events, when as you know in the spacious present events are actually simultaneous. [...]

[...] However, because of her own background and her reincamational background, she is tuned into tragic events and perceives these far more quickly than she perceives more pleasant events. [...]

(In any event, here are short Seth quotations on five of the subjects he referred to that are of special interest to us. [...]

[...] You accept, if you were born in 1940, a particular historical sequence: but others born in 1940 (in a different season than your own), are born into a different historical context, a different 1940, with its own probable events. [...]

Following Seth’s instructions, I was learning to recognize when I was dreaming while I was dreaming, manipulate dream events if I wanted to, leave my body and separate halluncinations from reality.

[...] Many such instances are often considered chaotic dreams because there is no way to check them against physical events since they did not occur in physical terms.

It is possible for you to project to a future event in which you will be involved and by an act that you make in the projection, alter the course that this future will take. [...]

[...] Instead I saw the fevers and infections, and realized that those events meant the time for healing and walking was not now.

And when you sleep you are in accelerated periods of creativity and concentration, making with thoughts and images the world you know, forming from inner experience the physical story that will unfold, the events that you will encounter physically.

He raised a furry eyebrow: “I’d still rather have some really great event happen. [...]

(But individual reactions to a given idea or event can vary tremendously, from the most withdrawn behavior to the most explosive. [...]

[...] We’d considered the Sayre episodes finished last year; yet today the echoes of those earlier events were so prominent that I came to think of them as actual projections from the past into the present, and so into the future, in a most practical manner. [...]

It might be added later here that on succeeding days Jane had several more auditory-type experiences, all involving topics other than houses or “Unknown” Reality. In none of those episodes was she aware of Seth’s voice, per se, but even so we see relationships between them and the time she did hear his voice; see my description of that event at the beginning of the 710th session.

[...] This new joint perception of ours set a whole group of events into motion — all of which were connected to those described in sessions 693–94 (see Note 9).

[...] Without thinking too much about it, we mentally filed this bit of news along with the connections that had developed out of our house-hunting episodes last year; even now, we still didn’t realize just how the complicated relationships between those events of April 1974, and now, were to continue growing. [...]

[...] But events didn’t work out that way at all; Seth did not return. [...]

Perhaps this mental event was Jane’s way of “practicing” for the physical one that was to follow a month later, in the 612th session. [...]

[...] (Yet, in Volume 1, see the comments in Note 4 for Session 688, on the possibility of light radiation from the “event horizon” of the black hole.) So far just two black holes have been tentatively located, although many of them are believed to exist.

[...] If we consider the universe as a white hole — our exterior universe of sense — we at least have a theoretical framework that reconciles our inner and outer activity, our physical and spiritual or psychic experience; and the apparent dilemma between a simultaneous present in which all events happen at once, and our daily experience in which we seem to progress through time from birth to death.”

[...] Seth described what I saw while my own consciousness was miles away, perceiving locations and events in another town or state. [...]

Someone who was familiar with psychic literature and paranormal experiences would have been better prepared for these events than I was, but I would not have missed them for the world.

(I am not sure of some of these events as far as sequence goes, and also believe I forgot some of the experience itself. I believe I also fell into inconsequential dreaming or sleep after the last event.

Now in Mass Events and God of Jane he courageously went still further, letting it all hang out, as they say—a necessary part of his own growth and development. [...]

[...] In those unknown realms, from which all psychological events are formed, he wants to fly ahead theoretically—that is, to delve through my books and through his own into ideas that still await, and feels somewhat angry because it seems that excellent theoretical material is overlooked by others to a large extent, while being used as a Band-Aid to help the current problems of the people. [...]

[...] Darwin loved nature in all of its aspects, yet he could not reconcile its beauties and splendors with the course of its events. [...]

[...] That challenge further activates additional motion: it is almost impossible to explain how intimately your psychological beliefs program your experience of events, or to tell you how to interpret them. [...]

[...] The cigarette event was bad news, I saw at once, let alone Jane’s sleeping after stating that she wanted the session. [...]

[...] I told her I thought we’d had plenty of clues as to her true resistance to them ever since the inception of Mass Events and the numerous delays involving that work. [...]

Imagine your surprise, delight and gratitude, as if the events had already occurred. [...]

Imagine your reactions as if the events were already accomplished physical facts. [...]

To be effectively organized, however, inner and outer experience had to appear as separate, disconnected events. [...]

The original propulsion of inner characteristics outward into the formation of the ego could be compared with the birth of innumerable stars — an event of immeasurable consequences that originated on a subjective level and within inner reality.
