[...] [This is usually the case when I don’t take notes.] One such point had to do with Seth’s statement that whenever a person thinks strongly about another person, a portion of the “thinker” goes out to the “thought-subject,” etc.

[...] I said, “If there’s anyone here, give us a sign,” etc.; mentioned my inexperience with physical phenomena and said that ectoplasm would be great if possible. [...]

[...] This makes for a series of ugly surprises along the way of our travels with Prentice-Hall, since they always seem to involve money in a negative way, or royalties being withheld, etc. [...]

[...] I found this very discouraging, and once again began to question the whole bit about symptoms, recovery, Seth, etc.

[...] After we talked a bit, I deduced that Seth/Jane had been trying for the word “Stonehenge,” meaning the ancient Druidic stone monoliths arranged in a circle in England, etc. [...]

(The article led me to wonder why we behaved as we did, as a species, with seemingly little change throughout recorded history; I wondered what purposes, what real sense, lay behind our attitudes and actions, etc; Jane and I had a little discussion about it.

[...] During break, Florence brought up the question of the will of God—whether God has control over what happens to us, etc. [...]

[...] And why would an animal respond to an inoculation when it could know nothing about our belief systems, etc? [...]

[...] There followed a very funny discussion—to me at least—of Jane’s propensity to talk at our gatherings of friends, even to the point of ignoring their creature comforts, such as drinks, snacks, etc. [...]

(She said she knew from Seth that Seth had frightened Peg somewhat; that is, his approach had been one she was unaccustomed to, and it would have been better had he talked with Peg about Jesus, His love and healing power, etc.

(Jane began speaking in trance for Seth in a rather quiet voice; eyes open often, average pauses, etc.)

[...] In it she tied her eye trouble and other symptoms with her fears about public reactions to her Seth work—her fears of its rejection, etc., and that she might—indeed, has—found herself outside the accepted realms of science, religion, etc., because of her psychic work. [...]

[...] The first of these would be Jane’s nearly extreme physical changes over the past few months, her ups and downs as far as mobility, feelings, aches, restless sleep, etc., are concerned. [...]

[...] The light was actually quite dim, but the ultraviolet made anything white appear to be blinding white-paper, socks, white shirts, etc. [...]

[...] She said that at this stage of her development it is very difficult for her to tell when such personal associations enter in, unless Seth himself notes it by saying “Ruburt here thinks of a photograph,” etc. [...]
