(Class had been discussing dream realities, personality, etc., for about an hour; Gert and Sheila began talking back and forth on Sheila’s ideas on separate personalities, when Jane interrupted to say that she had one impression that the “hole in the universe” had opened up in Sam Levine’s house and a crowd of people were flying from it into the room. [...]

(Before the session I reminded Jane that we wanted something from Seth on her adverse reactions to the stronger-than-aspirin pills she’s been experimenting with lately: Tylenol, etc. [...] I wondered whether her body didn’t want to ingest the stronger stuff because it didn’t feel it necessary, etc.

(Before the session Jane said she was getting stuff on John, Pat, etc., and I expressed interest in hearing it. But I also wanted some material on myself, since my “distress” of a couple of weeks ago had returned; symptoms in the stomach, back, etc.—various shooting pains.

[...] As far as we know, the set-to is cleared up now, Jane is free, etc. [...]

[...] Dr. K. was fairly sure it was vasculitis, “which never gets better,” etc., from her point of view. [...]

[...] The nurse, Joyce, who was head of the treatment for decubiti at the hospital spent a lot of time going over the proper treatment with us, and gave us a quantity of sterile water, Silvadene, sponges, saline solution, etc. [...]

[...] In this session I haven’t written about the negative suggestions Dr. K. gave Jane in the hospital concerning the finger: ulceration, losing the joint, etc.)

(Coupled with all of these things is the three-part article we’re reading in The New Yorker on the travails of publishing these days; the large sums involved, books being treated as “products,” etc. [...]

(On top of all of this, we received from Prentice-Hall on Monday the revised movie contracts for Oversoul Seven, and now must see Bill Danaher again about new notarization, etc. [...]

[...] Last Saturday I bought over $30.00 worth of flower seeds, and I’m slowly trying them out in a variety of pots and containers to see which flowers do best under what circumstances—artificial light, natural light, etc. [...]

(Jane had remarked several times today that she felt unusually “dragged out,” etc.)

[...] The book was mailed to Prentice-Hall on November 15, after extensive rewriting of the notes, additional proofreading, etc. [...]

[...] My original notes contain a few cryptic remarks here about such things as “our discussion,” “many ramifications apparent,” etc., and of course I’ve long forgotten just what they referred to; other than the general tone of the session material, I suppose.

[...] She said that some sounds could bother her while speaking for the other personality, and that if I touched her without preparation she’d feel as though she’d fall through space, yell out, etc.

[...] She hesitated because she wasn’t sure about the data’s accuracy, but also because she didn’t want to unduly upset Callista by talking about her recently deceased husband, etc.

[...] Chapter five of the dream book contains suggested experiments for the reader to try, involving waking and dreaming states and their interchange, etc. [...]

(The images, voices, dreams, etc., disappear when I deliberately bring myself back to the full waking state, but it might be interesting to see what I can do to prolong them through the use of suggestion. Perhaps I can carry them with me briefly as I get to my feet, etc.
