“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

I am explaining this matter rather thoroughly because we will be getting to matters concerning the entity and its personality developments. The entity, for example, works with the same sort of individual cooperation, and uses building blocks of energy in much the same manner, that the atoms and molecules in the physical world combine to form cells, organs, and the whole structure of the physical body.

However, the mental system that parallels the chromosome system carries in condensed form within the atoms generalized consciousness, data that has been transmitted to it by the entity. [...]

As the various cells maintain their individuality, as they gain in terms of value fulfillment by cooperation and still retain their uniqueness, so also do the various personalities retain their individuality and uniqueness while still cooperating to form the psychic structure of the entity, which in one context also forms them; and with this little problem I will let you take your break. [...]

Seth answered, “This is characteristic of that entity, an impatience and yet a daring, because the situation represented such a challenge. [...] The entity preferred this, rather than a series of smaller difficulties. [...]

[...] He is an entity older than you, and he has tried to point out the way to you. [...]

[...] Complete recovery, illness, or early death are not preordained on the part of the entity [or whole self]. [...]

“The problem is a challenge set up by the entity for one of its own personalities, but the outcome is up to the personality involved. [...]

[...] Communication with the inner self, communication with entities on another level can be approached from one or the other of two methods. [...]

(In the 84th session, September 2, Volume 2, pages 329 and 331, Seth stated that Jane was blocking “a picture of Philip,” Philip being Seth’s name for John’s entity. [...]

[...] We would prefer that you not think of any given entire entity in terms of a physical structure, though we have ourselves used the term structure to make explanations simpler, and will probably do so again.

[...] Other portions of your entire entity are not so limited.

It is true that, as a rule, you are not aware of your whole entity. There is no reason, however, why you must be blind to the whole self of your present personality, which is part of the entity, and which can be glimpsed in terms of the breathing and dreaming ‘self of which I have spoken.

[...] The material was coming through from her own entity.

[...] Your body is composed of other living entities, in other words. [...]

There is no need to create a separate god who exists outside of your universe and separate from it, nor is there any need to think of a soul as some distant entity. [...]

[...] She remembered how, in early sessions, Seth had talked about a minimum of three reincarnational existences for most entities — and how “scandalized” she’d been later when she began to realize that Seth had lived many lives. [...]

[...] In a manner of speaking, again, there was no one Christ, historically speaking, but the personage of Christ, or the entity, was the reality from which the entire dramatic story emerged.

One of Christ’s purposes, meaning the entity, was to teach man to see beyond the so-called facts of existence; not to deny death’s physical event, but to show the greater dimensions of that event, and man’s emergence into a new reality.

([Ron:] “I don’t necessarily deal with physical entities the same way I’m dealing with you right now.”)

([Ron:] “There are no entities intervening?”)

These individuals were a part of one entity. [...]

The cell’s stability, and its reliability in the bodily environment, is dependent upon its innate properties of instant communication and instant decision, for each cell is in communication with all others and is united with all others through fields of consciousness,³ in which each entity of whatever degree plays a part.

“I got some of it before the session—about the initial ones before the earth was formed—you could call them nonphysical entities. But it sounds dumb when you say it now: Physical entities couldn’t hold all that much consciousness. [...]

I told Jane that as far as I know the unimaginable explosion of the primordial superdense state, or entity, that resulted in the formation of our universe had been a straightforward event: Once begun, it kept going. [...]

You may call me Seth, John, although in case you are interested your entity name is Philip. [...]

[...] But without dwelling upon them too heavily, I may consider the notion of my larger, nonphysical “whole self” or “entity” being made up of a number of other psychically related physical selves projected into time. [...]

[...] I think not, in the overwhelming majority of cases—and perhaps never—for in those terms it would mean surrendering a portion of the whole self or entity that had, through a projection into our scheme of “present” time, attained a certain consciousness and physical form of a unique degree. [...] All well and good to announce that one was a serf some 900 years ago—but one is much more likely to be either tuning into minute signals surrounding the actual physical and mental reality of the serf (poor fellow), or to be picking up on elements of that individual’s personality as they’re associated with the serf’s whole self or entity. [...] I put it this way because Seth himself has commented that the three of us are “offshoots of the same entity.” [...]

The entities, or units of consciousness—those ancient fragments that burst into objectivity from the vast and infinite psychological realms of All That Is—dared all, for they joyfully abandoned themselves in space and time. They created new psychological entities, opened up an area of divine creativity that “until then” had been closed, and therefore to that [degree] extended the experience and immense existence of All That Is. ([Gert:] “In other words, this isn’t an entity separate from me?”)

[...] The messages, therefore, come, as far as class is concerned, to this time from the entire entity, the inner identity, whatever word you want to use or coin. [...]

[...] I have separate notes on it, showing how Jane expressed voice contact with an entity professing to be a female Gallagher. The details given by the entity were however not overtly familiar to Bill or Peggy. [...]

[...] What actually happened was that Jane’s maternal grandmother tried to get through, but Jane wanted to get Bill’s mother, and so named the entity speaking as a Gallagher. [...]
