(9:48.) Illness and suffering are not thrust upon you by God, or by All That Is, or by an outside agency. They are by-products of the learning process, created by you, in themselves quite neutral. On the other hand, your existence itself, the reality and nature of your planet, the whole existence in which you have these experiences, are also created by you, using the abilities of which I have spoken.

(“Number twenty: If everything exists now, or at once, how can it be added to through constant creation and expansion? Or to put it another way: If we are constantly creating, how can All That Is exist as complete now?”)

Everything within your three-dimensional system occurs simultaneously. Each action creates other possibilities of itself, or other actions from the infinite energy of the universe, which itself is never still. The answer is that the whole is more than the sum of its parts. (Pause.)

All That Is simultaneously and unendingly creates itself. Only within your particular frame of reference does there seem to be a contradiction between action that is simultaneous and yet unending. This has to do mainly with the necessary distortions arising from your time concept and the idea of duration; for duration to you presupposes existence continued within a time framework — predisposing to beginnings and endings.

[...] For if you hate, you create a hateful reality. [...] To the extent that you fear, you create a fearful reality. To the extent that you love, you create a lovely reality. To the extent that you create, you create a reality full of creativity—and this is my message. [...]

Each of you individually creates the reality that you know—and en masse, altogether, you create the reality of your world and your universe. [...]

[...] That is, it’s a result of the good things that we do that we maintain—that we create and maintain this fantastic planet that we get our sustenance and food from—and everything else. [...]

Consciousness therefore continually creates and maintains itself, and this includes the physical materialization, the properties of the dimension, and yet basically there is no difference between the creator in these terms and the created. [...]

Now in the same way that consciousness originated the physical dimension, you as portions of consciousness continue to maintain and create it anew. [...] You also then know and develop yourselves through your own creations, and you automatically create and maintain your physical environment in the same manner that you breathe. [...]

From itself, therefore, and of itself, consciousness gave birth to its new dimension of experience, and then experienced what it had created, further extending itself and in turn bringing forth further possibilities of development.

[...] The inner self therefore creates the physical body and the land upon which it moves.

[...] To our knowledge, this explanation is original with the Seth Material To say the least, the supposition that we actually create matter gives rise to all kinds of questions, and Rob and I have considered many of them at one time or another. Was Seth saying that we created tables and chairs as well as events? And when we were ill, were we creating our own disease? If we create reality to begin with, then can we change it for the better?

“There is the Mark which Mark has created, an actual physical construction. There is another, created by you, Joseph. There are two more physical Marks, one created by Ruburt, and one by your cat. [...]

You create, as you know, physical matter on a subconscious basis, without knowing egotistically that you do so. You create physical matter as effortlessly and as smoothly and as automatically, and as unknowingly as you create your own dreams.

The ego is not aware of the manner in which dreams are created. Neither is it aware of the manner in which the inner self creates physical matter. Neither, therefore, is it aware of those distortions that cause it to construct faults within physical matter, for in all cases the physical matter of the human body will be subconsciously created in line with inner conditions.

As you create physical matter constantly without knowing that you do so, so also you create constantly a dream universe, and this dream universe is as individual as your environment in the physical world. [...]

[...] For each of you, including Ruburt, create and project your own image of him, and each of you perceive with your physical senses only that image of him which you have individually created.

[...] But each self must go its own way and develop its own abilities and explore the possibilities which it creates itself, otherwise the whole would stagnate.

[...] The vitality must constantly create itself in new patterns and each new pattern, of course, brings forth new possibilities of development.

All That Is realized that such a separation would also allow you (pause) to bring about a different kind of divine art, in which the creators themselves created, and their creations created, bringing into actuality existences that were possible precisely because there would seem (underlined) to be a difference between the creator and the creations. Yet each smallest portion of consciousness can uniquely create, bring into being, eccentric² versions of All That Is, that in certain terms All That Is, without that separation, could not otherwise create. [...]

“The camouflage is so craftily executed and created by the inner self that you must, of necessity, focus your attention in the physical reality which has been created. [...]

“If you remember what I said about the way in which the universe expands, that it has nothing to do with space, then you may perhaps dimly perceive the existence of a psychic pyramid of interrelated, ever-expanding consciousness that creates, simultaneously and instantaneously, universes and individuals that are given—through the gifts of personal perspective—duration, psychic comprehension, intelligence, and eternal validity.

[...] Yet it is doubtful that without this “period” in quotes, of contracted yearning, that All That Is could concentrate its energy sufficiently enough to create the realities that existed in probable suspension within it.

The agony itself and the stupendous desire to create represented its proof of its own reality. [...]

He then purposely gave these more and more detail, and yearned toward this diversity and grew to love that which was not as yet created from himself. [...]

[...] You have created death within your system. Since you have created it you are left to deal with it. [...]

[...] Any limitations are those created by itself. If you will not be limited, then do not create artificial limitations. [...]

[...] You create reality according to your beliefs and expectations. [...]

[...] Then with your physical senses, you are perceiving that which you have already so created.

[...] (Pause.) You create not only the body, then, but its entire experience, the context in which it takes place. [...] It is the framework in which you have your experience, created by you as the artist gives his paintings their dimension.

[...] There is some difference here, which was mentioned earlier (in the 636th session in Chapter Nine), between you and the animals and the particular way in which you create your reality….

Some of these systems do touch upon legitimate portions of reality, but they all overlook the great individualistic and highly private nature of your dreams, and the fact that you create your own reality.

[...] It will mobilize your resources and fill your body with a rush of needed hormones, creating a dream state of stress that will bring the organism’s healing abilities into combat and result in an end to particular physical symptoms.

[...] No god created the crime of murder, and no god created sorrow and pain. [...] What I have said, however, should serve to remind you when you question that these things were created by yourselves as you forgot your true beginnings, and only when you remember your beginnings will these cease. You are stuck with what you have created. [...]

[...] As a child forms mud pies from dirt, so you form your civilization out of thoughts and emotions, and then see what you have created, and you must deal with it on its terms.

[All That Is] did not separate itself from those worlds, however, for they were created from its thoughts, and each one has divine content. The worlds are all created by that divine content, so that while they are on the one hand exterior, they are on the other also made of divine stuff, and each hypothetical point in your universe (pause) is in direct contact with All That Is in the most basic terms. [...] Their main points of consciousness were elsewhere, their primary focuses scarcely aware of the bodies they had created. Yet they learned ‘through experience,’ and began to ‘awaken,’ to become aware of themselves, to discover time, or to create it.

Now: You cannot prove scientifically that [your] world was created (pause) by a god who set it into motion, but remained outside of its dominion. [...]

You know then that you yourselves create your universe and that each generation creates it anew in its own image. [...]

In a very simple example, consider that you yourself use your own energy to create your dream world. In this way also you create your so-called real camouflage world, the only difference being that the dream world images do not have duration in physical time although they have duration in psychological time. [...] At the same time it is the inner vitality which creates the camouflage to begin with. Joseph was right when he spoke of entities creating stages upon which to act out their problems. [...]

[...] You know by now that you create your own camouflage-patterned universe, and I have tried to cover some of the mechanisms involved in this continuous, seemingly automatic creation.

The rules are that you create your universe—that you create within the system that you know the world that you know. [...] The rules are that this universe is created by the thoughts that exist within each of your minds... [...]
