To study the human body from only the physical standpoint, or to consider it as exclusively a physical phenomenon, is to severely limit your perception of it, and of reality as a whole. [...]

[...] The ingredients of matter are first of all intangible ingredients, and the study of the mind and a study of the processes by which the mind creates its dream images could lead to a basic understanding of the manner in which man subconsciously produces the physical images of his own material universe.

As inner energy forms more complicated gestalts through the processes that I have earlier explained, then inner energy continues its communication with the physical matter that it creates about it. [...]

[...] As particular portions of matter are transformed, as the inner self, through the inner senses creates a simple material object that is picked up by the outer senses clearly as, say, a table, so are these other constructions that closely mirror inner reality that are perceived by the outer senses as effects.

[...] The seasons represent indeed a more or less regular inner sweep and rhythm that finds expression through altering what psychic energy has already created.

[...] These constructions are those which most closely approximate inner reality, in that they are not as completely imprisoned in form or matter, but in themselves change form or matter.

[...] The twinges that he feels are indeed warnings, or nudges rather, from his own subconscious mind, that he do this and thus bring the plans for it into actual reality.

(12:21.) In other terms, the self that you have projected into the future is sending you back encouragement from a probable reality that you still can create. [...]

[...] They cannot themselves interpret the reality beneath them. [...] They may feel the grass or sidewalk or the road, but the peculiar individual sensate life of the grass itself, or of the ant, escapes the feet, which are involved in their own reality and concerned with these other things only in their relationship to feethood.

The mind can interpret the experiences that the legs and the feet have, however, and by imaginatively using that sensual data can perceive the ant’s reality to some extent. Now when the mind races and runs, it sometimes has great difficulty interpreting its activities to the brain, which is usually concerned with other realities only to the extent that they impinge upon it.

Now: Ruburt’s mind is far more aware of other realities than his brain is, but he consciously believes in the greater reality of himself and his perceptions. [...]

“You create your own difficulties. [...] The inner psychological state is projected outward, gaining physical reality—and this regardless of the nature of the psychological state. [...]

Remember what I said earlier, that we form physical reality as a replica of our inner ideas. [...] She projected her ideas of reality outward, and they literally led her to destruction.

[...] You form physical materializations of these realities within your own mind.

“If you imagine dire circumstances, ill health, or desperate loneliness, these will be automatically materialized, for these thoughts themselves bring about the conditions that will give them reality in physical terms. [...]

[...] It pulses with the power behind all the emotions that you know … This is the warmth that … is born from the very devotion of our isolation … that creates the reality that you know, without itself experiencing it.”

[...] In my opinion, she offers a most important insight here toward understanding the formation of our mundane physical reality. Besides Jane’s material in appendixes 4 and 5 for Volume 1 of “Unknown” Reality, see Seth’s deliveries on inner sound, light, and electromagnetic patterns in the four sessions (623–26) making up Chapter 5 of Personal Reality.

[...] From the 681st session:) In your terms — the phrase is necessary — the moment point, the present, is the point of intersection between all existences and reality. All probabilities flow through it, though one of your moments may be experienced as centuries, or as a breath, in other probable realities of which you are a part. [...]

In closing: See the 593rd session in the Appendix of Seth Speaks for Seth’s material on black holes, white holes, and coordination points: “A black hole is a white hole turned inside out … The holes, therefore, or coordination points [points of double reality, or where realities merge], are actually great accelerators that reenergize energy itself.” [...]

There followed many sessions, both regular and private (or deleted, as we sometimes call them), in which Seth discussed Frameworks 1 and 2. As can happen when we’re consciously too close to a deep-seated situation, some little time passed before Jane and I realized the obvious: It wasn’t that we were unable to tune into Framework 2, say, for help in effecting a healing for her in the joint reality we’d created in Framework 1—but that in physical reality we were drawing from Framework 2 exactly what we wanted to, even if often on unconscious or unwitting levels. [...]

So if Jane undergoes illness in this reality, in another she does not—but in between those extremes she also explores all stages of her illness in a series of probable universes, flashing among them in “no time at all,” basically…. [...] But as Seth has said, since I live with her in this probable reality from which I write, then my existence is always at least probable within any of her realities. [...] And although Seth hasn’t said so yet (that I remember), I also think that within the spontaneous plan of probable realities each of us—anyone, that is—explores all aspects of sexuality and parenthood at the same time.

Within the idea of probable realities, then, there are innumerable opportunities for redemption to take place, between or among creatures—or even between or among ideas—and in all manner of ways. [...] For my own amusement, in recent years I’ve often tried to objectify that statement by equating the possible number of probable realities with the current scientific estimate of the number of atoms in the universe: 10⁷⁹, or a 1 followed by 79 zeroes. [...] Within the limitless realms of consciousness, 10⁷⁹ is still but a doorway to vastly greater imaginative quantities and qualities of either numbers or probable realities. [...] There are multitudinous possibilities for a redemption—or equalization or love or forgiveness, say—to take place amid such a dazzling array of probable realities. [...]

My main point is that I also feel, without having asked Seth, that the farther one travels ahead in time the greater the play of probable realities and probable lives he or she encounters. [...] In some cases there will be a great fear of becoming lost among all of those realities. (What if one doesn’t want a probable reality they choose? [...]

[...] It is closely allied with the entity, and connects a reality that is purely psychic, the reality of the entity, with a reality that is mainly physical, the reality of the physical self.

[...] At various times I have spoken concerning the reality of what you refer to as the astral body. [...]

[...] They allow the personality to retain its relationship with nonphysical reality, permitting the material self to focus within its earthly environment.

The inner senses perceive the psychic reality and transmit messages from it. [...]

[...] The material is included because of its importance in understanding the later concepts on dream reality and the methods of perceiving inner data.

(In an earlier session, Seth said that while on vacation in Maine, we both unwittingly created two images — versions of ourselves — and then reacted to them. [...]

In your York Beach experience, had you not been able to form those images outside of yourselves, and so endow them with some physical reality, you might very well have turned yourself into schizophrenic personalities instead.

Many people are unable to endow fragments with such physical reality, and thus shove them more or less harmlessly away at arm’s length, as you did. [...]

[...] Nevertheless again, subjective continuity itself never falters, in that it is always a part of the world that it perceives, so that you and the world create each other, in these terms.

[...] Your intent has also an electronic reality, therefore. [...]

[...] She wants a turning-off point from which to construct other realities, so it is not so much that the latest-present is deteriorating as much as the fact that she is purposely letting her attention wander, and allowing the latest-presents (with the hyphen) to diminish in strength and vitality. [...]

[...] You end up with separate disciplines: biology, psychology, physics, mathematics, and so forth, each with its own group of facts, jealously guarded, each providing its own world view: the world as seen through biology, or reality as seen through the eyes of physics.

There is no separate field that combines all of that information, or applies the facts of one discipline to the facts of another discipline, so overall, science, with its brand of rational thought, can offer no even, suggestive, hypothetical, comprehensive ideas of what reality is. [...]

[...] From our current present we project, for better or worse, those choices, plus any new ones we may decide upon, into each of the presents we’ll be creating throughout the rest of our lives. [...]

In The Nature of Personal Reality, Seth deals extensively with the point of power, its exercises and meanings and benefits. [...]

“All That Is creates its reality as it goes along. [...] Each is a reality in itself, with its own potentials, and with no individual consciousness, however minute, ever lost.

“You are meant to judge physical reality. [...] When you imagine that you can annihilate a reality, you can only assault it as you know it. The reality itself will continue to exist.

In a probable reality, a Ruburt and a Joseph now live there. [...] I am speaking of deeper mechanisms of consideration (pause), in which correlations are made between interior and exterior realities. [...]

(After this evening’s session, however, we decided we’d like to know why in Seth’s view Atlantis had moved from its long, if uneasy residence in our “historical past” forward into a future probable reality. [...] By then, Seth had been through with “Unknown” Reality for three weeks. [...]

[...] You are creating the reality. [...]

On the one hand, man did indeed feel that he had fallen from a high estate, because he remembered that earlier freedom of dream reality—a reality in which the other creatures were still to some degree (underlined) immersed.³ Man’s mind, incidentally, at that point had all the abilities that you now assign to it: the great capacity for contrast of imagination and intellect, the drive for objectivity and for subjectivity (softly), the full capacity for the development of language—a keen mind that was as brilliant in any caveman, say, as it is in any man on a modern street.

[...] He was enchanted also by his own subjective reality, the body in which he found himself, and by the differences between himself and others like him, and the other creatures. [...]

[...] Jane and I find it fascinating to think about—to attempt to trace—some of the ways by which the overall consciousness of the United States continually becomes involved with—entwined with—the consciousnesses of adversaries like Russia and Iran: Such consciousnesses, once created, continue to grow and to complicate themselves in new ways within our concept of “time.” [...]

[...] Man first changed his myths, and then altered the reality that reflected them.

[...] They unify, expand, and create, rather than diversify.

[...] They may not be so released in normal life, but you will meet the greater dimensions of your own reality, and at least in the dream state catch a glimpse of the self that transcends a one-sex orientation.

[...] As a result, the reflection of sexual schism taints all of your activities, but most of all it limits your psychological reality.

[...] Basically, you cannot hurt anything, but as long as you think that you can, then you must dwell within that reality. Now, in that reality, as you understand it now, there are reasons that you do not as yet perceive. [...]

Now, not only human beings form their own reality, but all consciousness forms its own reality. [...]

[...] Now, in this case, the fish was not a probable fish in another reality. [...]

[...] However, in your frame of reference, no thing, in your terms, is hurt without giving acceptance to the hurt; without attracting it and without bringing it to itself, for within your frame of reference you form your own reality. [...]

[...] Dream images are often images which cannot be created for various reasons within physical reality at any particular time. [...]

Since the individual creates his own physical image to begin with, then there is nothing so strange about his creation of a pseudophysical body which is not so closely dependent upon the physical system. [...]

[...] The experience is valuable to Ruburt in that he sees that no invasion is involved; and that when his emotions are stilled there is still an emotional reality, as my emotions come to the foreground.

The change, while admittedly advantageous, reflects the fact that people are being helped, and that in our way we are able to help them change their picture of reality for the better, and to enlarge their understanding.

[...] When you changed them your reality began to change.

[...] These are still somewhat (underlined) separate to him, yet his ideas of doing good, being right, creating artistically, are now combining.

[...] You choose your time and focus in physical reality again and again, and the mind holds an inner comprehension of many seemingly mysterious developments involving the species.

It would involve a look and an examination of your system of reality as it appears to me. [...]

(Smile.) I would of course provide the reader with a statement of my own background, and to some extent compare my attitudes toward your system of reality, for when I lived within it my opinions were far different than they are now.

[...] You are learning how to form reality from your own beliefs. [...]
