I have spoken before about the growth of what you call ego-consciousness — which, let me reiterate, has its own unique rewards. That psychological orientation will lead the species to another, equally unique kind of consciousness.

[...] Alterations of consciousness, or attempts on the part of the individual to explore the inner self, may then easily display glimpses of a kind of sexuality that can appear to be deviant or unnatural.

When the process began, however, the deep power of nature had to be “controlled” so that the growing consciousness could see itself as apart from this natural source. [...]

Consciously you didn’t know what you were up to but unconsciously you knew very well. [...]

That state which you achieved could be likened to my state, except that I am fully conscious and able to use the abilities inherent in it. [...]

If you recall, part of your mind was conscious, you were capable of normal conversation. [...]

This is some of the most important material that I have given you, for you have wondered about the purpose (of consciousness within this system), and have been able often only to see one small speck of time and space.

As errors and mistakes creep into the physical organic system, bringing forth mutant genes and distortions, so also these mutant genes and distortions are, on a smaller scale, the result of inner distortions within the consciousness of the individual genes.

[...] However what you call suggestion, left alone, is a part of the inner impetus of action, which is translated in all areas of consciousness outward.

[...] And this involves the creation of further value fulfillment, of consciousness that is not a burden, as sometimes your consciousness seems to be to you, but joy upon which other universes can also rest. Now what makes you ask the question or doubt that any reality could be without it, for it is the basis for any reality that any consciousness knows. [...]

The ordinary experiences that come to you as you go about your day come to you from beyond both the conscious and subconscious self, and they have come so naturally, as they should, that you did not realize their intrusive nature. [...]

In your terms, the inner world does represent Idea Potential as yet unrealized — but those ideas and those potentials do not exist outside of consciousness. For you see, you think that you are only conscious when you are focused in physical reality. [...] In Freud’s terminology, the dice are indeed loaded, on the side of the conscious mind.

For one thing, you are dealing with different kinds of consciousness than your own. They are focused consciousnesses, surely, each one feeling itself at life’s center. While this is the case, however, these other forms of consciousness also identify then with the source of nature from which they emerge. [...]

Dictation: When I speak of natural law, I am not referring to the scientists’ laws of nature, such as the law of gravity, for example — which is not a law at all, but a manifestation appearing from the viewpoint of a certain level of consciousness as a result of perceptive apparatus. [...]

[...] Each manifestation of consciousness comes into being feeling secure at life’s center — experiencing life through itself,¹ aware of life through its own nature. [...]
