Telepathy on this level is the intangible, nonmaterial communication of inner energy, or inside energy, to the physical materialization of itself within the physical field. This elementary telepathy is not the communication of thought as such, but is the communication of intent, desire and purpose. It is therefore the communication of inner energy to various still-forming aspects of itself, a blazing, so to speak, of invisible paths or bridges. And at the same time the laying down of these intangible paths serve as the inner framework over which or upon which future physical lines or structures will be laid.

As inner energy forms more complicated gestalts through the processes that I have earlier explained, then inner energy continues its communication with the physical matter that it creates about it. When inner energy desires to construct a more complicated gestalt, then it must telepathically communicate this intent and purpose through the matter which it collects about itself, forming a more complicated inner telepathic pattern first, that can then be filled in with physical matter. The manners in which telepathy operates are difficult to explain because of the divergence of definition held by the ego and by the inner self of any given individual. To the human being it must appear that telepathy is a mental or psychic communication occurring between two or more entirely separate selves. The ego, you see, has one definition for the self, and its own idea of the limitations of itself.

In the most simple of living structures telepathy is a necessity for communication, particularly before the inside energy is concentrated sufficiently to form any sort of more complicated pattern or nerve structure. Even when such nerve structures and physical complications are evolved telepathy operates, still a necessity as a communications system within the physical structure, and still handling data which cannot be carried through any physical medium, simply because it is untranslatable by its nature into physical materialization.

No physical communication systems, such as nerves and so forth, are accomplished before these invisible inner energy telepathic structures are first set forth, for these impress within the unformed physical structures the habits and ways which the physical structures will then follow; and these inside telepathic lines continue to exist within the physical structures after they are completed, and for a while after the physical structures have been broken down.

For those who reach this state and utilize it, communication is clearest. It must be understood that this communication works in both ways. [...] Their achievements may be misunderstood or physically lost, but at this level of consciousness they share in these communications, and at another level of existence their achievements are recognized.

I do not mean to imply, however, that only the great share in this communication of consciousness. (Pause.) A great simplicity is necessary, and out of this, many of the most lowly in men’s terms also share in these communications. [...] This is the heart of communication. [...]

[...] This involves communicating not only with past personalities in your terms, but future ones. [...] It is a meeting ground in which personalities from any time or place or probable system can communicate with each other in clear terms understood by all.

Since past, present, and future do not exist, this is a level of crystal clear communication of consciousness. [...]

I am going to say more here concerning those characteristics of Ruburt’s whole self, which allow me to communicate with your field. Here, however, I merely wished to make the point that this communication between your own egos and your own subconscious must depend upon yourselves, and the easier the communication between the ego and the personal subconscious the greater the strength, abilities, potentialities and value fulfillment of the present personality as a whole.

This sort of communication also comes close to action in a fairly pure state. There is also another result of such relative ease of communication between the ego and the subconscious, in that the subconscious, which is listened to and taken into consideration by the ego, will have relatively little need to make its wishes known in other, perhaps less pleasant ways. [...]

Therefore, to some extent we are part of one vast sphere of action; and it is relatively more easy, therefore, for us to communicate. You in particular, Joseph, can benefit through the development of an easy access of communication with your own personal subconscious. [...]

[...] I have been experimenting also with subconscious communication, at times with excellent results, and also using the permissive “I can” approach, rather than the commanding “I will” approach.

Now: When you concentrate mainly (underlined) in Framework 1 and its communications with Prentice, then while overall you do achieve results of a beneficial nature—the publication and distribution of the books in a largely adequate form—there are glaring discrepancies also: entanglements that you do not like because you have taken your intent from Framework 2, where the creative event began, and placed it into Framework 1’s communication system almost entirely. Obviously you need Framework 1, with its letters, telephone calls, and so forth—but Framework 1’s communication system, while physically handy, also is somewhat like a very poor telephone connection, with static at both ends. [...]

Now: Framework 2’s communications system is set into motion as a primary rather than as a backup system of communications. When you learn to cut through the static—if you trust the system of communication—this is how it works. [...]

(Pause.) In a capsule, comparing yourself to what you think you should be, and largely because of troubles with communication. You wanted to communicate love of our work, and instead you felt that you could only communicate resentment at what you felt had been done to it. [...]

[...] I have given you a good deal of material explaining how information is communicated both on a cellular basis and on a mental one—how it is communicated through the dream state, and I have explained the importance of impulses as direct nudges from Framework 2.

[...] He believes in communicating through words, and he believes particularly in communicating “in a positive manner.” He does not believe in communicating disapproval or aggression. [...] He does believe in communicating love verbally and through touch, whether or not sexual feelings specifically are involved.

They have to do with communication, and with your individual and joint ideas of how feelings are to be communicated, and above all about your beliefs as to which feelings are to be communicated.

[...] In a way, both of you meant different things by communication, and used it to express only part of the spectrum of your feelings. [...]

Both of you operate best in your private worlds, but the books vastly extend that world, and represent a far greater communication with others than you presently understand. If you do not meet face-to-face with people, for example, in clubs or organizations, you communicate with a far greater number, each of you, and jointly. [...]

Now Tam is a communicator, but not an originator. He does communicate to those salesmen, and to others with whom he comes in contact. [...]

On a particular level however this makes little difference, because such communications are carried on constantly at subconscious levels, seldom reaching ego awareness, so that individuals are subconsciously conditioned—and underline subconsciously conditioned—therefore expecting, all unknown to the ego, such communications when certain chemical changes come about; since these chemical changes also occur for other reasons when these conditions occur, on a practical level communications will then most easily happen. [...] When the proper focus point is reached however, these communications will result in rapport between the living and that portion of personality essences, or so-called dead, who are still at least psychically connected with life on your field.

From this focus position communication may be set up between personality essences no longer in the physical field, and those still in it, provided that those still in it are able to remove focus from the ego to this particular level. It is from this focus point then that communication between what is termed the living and the dead may take place.

Emotional outbursts or reactions do cause chemical conditions, and certain chemical conditions can facilitate such communications. However, it is a fact that as a rule the communications cause the chemical reactions rather than the other way around.

Since this period was to some degree at least free of camouflage, from it communication can be received dealing with the entity’s knowledge of itself, and of uncamouflaged reality. [...]

[...] In your society and to some extent in others, the natural communication of aggression has broken down. You confuse violence with aggression, and do not understand aggression’s creative activity or its purpose as a method of communication to prevent violence.

[...] A frown is a natural method of communication, saying, “You have upset me,” or, “I am upset.” If you tell yourself to smile when you feel like scowling, then you are tampering with your natural expression and denying to another a legitimate communication that tells how you feel.

[...] Normal aggressiveness is basically a natural kind of communication, particularly in social orders; a way of letting another person know that in your terms they have transgressed, and therefore a method of preventing violence — not of causing it.

There is now an earnest desire to travel inward, but in the past the personality was involved with outward communication. The personality will always have communication as a main aspect. Nevertheless this life begins a new phase, where the communication involved will be, indeed, of a different variety. The knot of energy, among other things, quite a few other things, is caused by the temporary inability to change the focus of interests from outward to inward methods of communication.

Until this life the communications involved have been in outward manifestation. [...] There is also a bewilderment, since in the past communication was easy. Now there is awareness of that which is not easy to communicate.

In the past lives, again, desire for communication was strong. [...] However, it is as if the personality stands before another door, where the abilities for communication can turn the knob, but he will not turn the knob. [...]

[...] The personality has always been involved with communication in one form or another in various lives.

You were quite struck by the lack of communication between yourself and your mother yesterday. (In Sayre.) Or rather, you realized that she communicated her feelings very well, and her lack of understanding, while you communicated less; although your attitude in itself there is of course a communication. [...] My pendulum also told me that communication problems involving Jane, other than the TV show question, caused the “cold,” etc.

The next chapter will deal with the basic methods of communication that are used by any consciousness, according to its degree, whether or not it is physical. This will lead up to the basic communication used by human personalities as you understand them, and point out these inner communications as existing independently of the physical senses (pause), which are merely physical extensions of inner perception.

[...] The difficulties involved in such communications will be given thoroughly. It will be made clear that so-called paranormal communications come from various levels of reality, and that those communications describe the reality in which they exist. [...]

While my communications will come exclusively through Ruburt at all times, to protect the integrity of the material, I will invite the reader to become aware of me as a personality, so that he may then realize that communication from other realities is possible, and that he himself is therefore open to perception that is not physical.

The next chapter will deal with the eternal validity of dreams as gateways into these other realities, and as open areas through which the inner self glimpses the many facets of its experience, and communicates with other levels of its reality.

(Pause at 8:48.) Then a lack of communication developed, so that various portions of the personality “hardened” their own positions, sometimes holding quite different sets of beliefs. The communication of the Sinful Self’s document is almost one of its most important values. [...]

[...] There may be a communication of one kind or another directly from the creative self to the Sinful Self, for example, in which those issues are sympathetically addressed. There certainly will be dreams and other such events that serve as communications from one portion of the self to another—and these may be initiated from any portion. [...]

The cell’s stability, and its reliability in the bodily environment, is dependent upon its innate properties of instant communication and instant decision, for each cell is in communication with all others and is united with all others through fields of consciousness,³ in which each entity of whatever degree plays a part.

Neurologically, you tune into only a portion of your body’s reality and are ignorant of the great, tiny but tumultuous communications that are ever flying back and forth in the microscopic but vital cellular world.

[...] All of these communications are a part of the human parcel of reality, and they all exist beneath what you think of as normal consciousness. [...]

Deeper communications than you realize happen between the waking and sleeping members of the species, and in such a manner the formation of physical events is to some extent timed, or paced. The planning stages for events, and the inner communications necessary, occur on the part of the sleeping members, while the waking doers are involved in objective events.

[...] Some of those communications are cellular. [...] The world mind, then, in your terms, could not be conscious all at one time, and the varying graduated waking-sleeping patterns—the overlapping between the extremes you mention—provide overall balance and allow for smooth communications of an inner kind.

[...] This hardly seems of ordinary interest at all, yet preplans for battles, for example, have been received in sleep states, in which an enemy in a far country planned an invasion and the signals were received through the world’s internal network of communication.

Cultures of diverse natures communicate in ways impossible otherwise, and all of the great explorations of one country by another have involved prior dream contact.

Because we do communicate in this manner, this does not necessarily mean that we use mental words, for we do not. We communicate instead through what I can only call thermal and electromagnetic images that are capable of supporting much more meaning in one “sequence.” The intensity of the communication is dependent upon the emotional intensity behind it, although the phrase “emotional intensity” may be misleading.

Relying upon such external perceptions therefore, communication between members of various systems would be relatively impossible. [...]

Verbalization is not a basic method of communication for in quotes “higher” forms of consciousness, nor is it for lower forms of consciousness. [...]
