“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

Monday, June 10, 1974, I lay down to take a nap. It was very noisy; a neighbor clipping a hedge and machinery of some kind grinding away at the new bridge site. Suddenly I became aware of a mental image, with sound that I couldn’t hear; like a silent movie. I was getting out of a car, with a man, and we were on our way toward a house in which a healer or physician lived. As that me, I had this emotional gratitude: thank God; at last, someone who can really help—or something like that; I think though I’m not sure that I also meant... someone who knew our way of thinking and what I was up to. This vanished almost at once when I snapped to, feeling that a bug or something was crawling up my leg. It was; an ant. A few minutes later, another ant, plus the noises.

[...] The bottom of the clipping was also rough, and I clipped it evenly with scissors before filing it; this was before I thought of using it as object; Jane of course knew I saved the article because it pertained to Bill Macdonnel. As it happened my clipping the article along the bottom made it fit just right between the usual two pieces of Bristol, and into the double envelopes.

[...] When Bill visited us early this evening I thought of using the clipping as object.

(When she opened the test envelope to see a clipping of a section of a calendar page, containing numbers and a few spots of red and yellow, Jane was quite disappointed. [...] A very interesting fact now dawned on both of us when we looked at the back of the clipping; for here we found most of the data Seth had given was quite correct.

[...] Checking the whole calendar however, we noted there was a drawing of a man and a woman on the upper section of this particular page, but that I had left them behind in clipping out the test section. They would be about four inches removed from the clipping, and stood before another drawing of a house. [...]

[...] As we waited I explained to her a few things about the political fighting in San Salvador; I’d just finished typing the last, 930th session, wherein I’d referred to the attached news clippings about that country’s travails. [...]

(I clipped Jane’s nails. [...]

[...] She read right along at a good and easy clip. [...]

(I mowed some grass and filled a coffee container with forsythia I clipped from our bush on our southeast corner of the lot. [...]

[...] However, I am afraid that we must temporarily clip his wings, for indeed he would go too fast, too soon.

[...] More seriously, Jane said she had the feeling during the delivery that Seth was helping the other personality to reach us—that the entity’s messages were like “handkerchiefs or clips of paper, that they had to be thrown out right in front of us or we wouldn’t see them.” [...]

I see also a box of clippings in a drawer, perhaps a desk drawer, (Jane took a long pause) and an unusually-shaped object, perhaps used as a paperweight.

(My own note, bearing the time and date, shown at the bottom of page 319, was clipped to the envelope object. [...]

(I picked the card deliberately because it had an emotional attachment to Jane, versus such a neutral object as a leaf, a clipping from a magazine, etc. [...]

[...] For some reason I do not recall now I clipped the second paragraph off one of the cards. [...]
