ESP CLASS SESSION, MAY 11, 1971
TUESDAY

(Jane was very active in ESP class last night, and especially so while speaking and singing in Sumari. [...]

(During class, Seth commented that this latest Sumari development would help her decipher the very ancient — and largely oral — Speaker “manuscripts” that she mentions in her Introduction. [...]

[...] The thought came to me after supper that Jane’s doing the ESP classes probably contributed to the symptoms over the years, since the class situation was one in which she advanced her unconventional ideas to the public. [...]

For a long-term arrangement, private classes, if they work financially, would be more beneficial.

Summertime may or may not be a good time to begin private classes. [...]

[...] This decision was strictly her own, of course, and was motivated by a very successful out-of-body experience she’d had last night, following ESP class. Jane was especially happy that today she had found interesting correlations with part of her adventure through a friend [Mary] who is also a class member.

[...] He hadn’t been delivering “Unknown” Reality for long, then, before I realized that I’d have to devise a system of presentation that would handle his material, my own notes (which I could see were going to be considerably longer than they are in Seth’s other books, Seth Speaks and The Nature of Personal Reality), excerpts from Jane’s ESP classes, appendixes, and anything else that might be included.

(11:57 P.M. Seth referred to Jane’s ESP class. A long session had been recorded during the class, as happens quite often. [...]

Jane initiated Sumari in ESP class, and largely let it go when we ended class and moved to the hill house four years later. As with her speaking for Seth, her greatest power and drama in singing was engendered in class. For the most part in our regular, private, and book sessions, Seth speaks to me with a quieter, businesslike energy; I always feel his vigor and humor, but he isn’t nearly as loud or quick or boisterous as he was in class. [...]

[...] She was fully aware that that quality became much more obvious in her class singing and sessions, but she didn’t have to consciously evoke it—the drama was just there. [...]

[...] His class gave him some direct encounters through the years as he personally helped to direct others, and could watch the results through their achievements or behavior.

[...] Seth sometimes does hold a session for my ESP students on class night, and in class he deals with the practical application of the material.

One day I met Mrs. Brian, a former student who dropped out of class due to illness, who told me she had read a newspaper article about this present book that appeared in the local paper. [...]
