On April 17, 1968—I got request from a Tam Mossman to do a book on Seth Material, using portions of the best chapters from dream book that deal with Seth.

[...] Now, after today’s session I read the first session for Chapter 1 of Dreams to her. I got the idea of reading the whole book to her because of her excellent response the other day when I’d read her Chapter 5. Again, today, she was quite impressed with that first session. [...]

[...] I’d say that her own awareness of multiple channels has grown out of her initial sensing of the channels available from Seth, as described in the 616th session in Chapter 2 of Personal Reality; and that her material on neurological speeds is related to the observations of Jane that were noted by Sue Watkins in Seth Speaks; see the 594th session in the Appendix of that book. The other heading he gave helps make up the title for the next chapter (6). Add to it: “Religious and Scientific Cults, and Private Paranoias.”

[...] The dream became Chapter 1 of the book, and inspired the rest of it; she’s having great fun writing the story, and is sending it to Tam chapter by chapter as it comes out of her typewriter — a procedure she’s never followed before. [...]

[...] I do not want to shock you, but dictation — continuation of our last chapter (2: “Mass Meditations,” etc.).

[...] I said I’d make sure to write up the eye thing probably for a chapter when the eyes got fairly normal—without waiting for say, normal walking. [...]

(And these final notes: We still don’t know whether the Dutch edition of Seth Speaks has been published — but we do know that our good friend Sue Watkins is presently working on Chapter 15 of Conversations With Seth, the book she’s writing about Jane’s ESP classes. Sue has a few chapters to go, plus some appendix material, and Tam is due to receive her manuscript in January 1980. [...]

[...] She’s written the first drafts for many of the chapters of the book by now, and has planned most of the rest of them — although she may change any of her work at any time. [...]

(Yesterday Jane finished typing Chapter 15 of God of Jane. The chapter actually consists of her long poem, “A Psychic Manifesto,” which she wrote in July 1979. [...] Jane also described events relative to her creation of “A Psychic Manifesto” in Chapter 14 of God of Jane [I expect to finish the notes for Mass Events within a couple of weeks.]

[...] She wrote it on November 7, 1979, almost a month before delivering Session 886 for Chapter 2 of Dreams (in Volume 1) on December 3. I suggest that in connection with the poem the reader review the opening paragraphs of that session.

Since we are addressing individuals who do identify with the “normally conscious self,” I bring such matters up in this first chapter because I will be using the terms later in the book, and because I want to state the fact of multidimensional personality as soon as possible.
