Your lives in many ways did not satisfy you, but rather than accept this fact clearly and cast about for what changes or solutions there might be, both of you tried to keep everything precisely (underlined) as it was, make no changes, and live with the dissatisfaction that became a constant inner problem.
[...]
Out of the potential relationship interactions are possible that will make great changes in your lives, your individual work, and our work.

Now, changing the coordinates does involve a shifting of inner focus and an extension of the inner senses. One of the reasons for the change in the sessions is to give Ruburt experience along these lines.
The sense of rather strained neutrality Ruburt feels now before sessions is simply caused by the strangeness of changing coordinates from the ones with which he has been accustomed.

In the first place, viruses change their form, appearing in your terms sometimes as harmless and sometimes as lethal. So-called states of health and disease are also changing constantly — and in those vaster terms disease in itself is a kind of health, for it makes life and health itself possible (all quite intently).

You are left with vague idealized feelings of wanting to change the world for the better, for example — but you are denied the personal power of your own impulses that would otherwise help direct that idealism by developing your personal abilities. You are left with an undefined, persisting, even tormenting desire to do good, to change events, but without having any means at your disposal to do so.

The “transportation” (in quotes) of the inner senses consists mainly of what you might call a changing of frequencies or vibrations or pulsations, a transformation of vitality-form from one particular pattern or aspect to another.
