“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(We were fairly sure her reactions stemmed from the barrage of material Seth has given us since we began this series of “crash” sessions last week, but that knowledge didn’t help her much today. Particularly apparent, I thought, would be effects from last night’s session, which I regard as excellent. This morning in bed Jane had thrashed and whimpered almost constantly while both sleeping and waking, unable to get comfortable. The panicky feelings wouldn’t allow that, though—they expressed themselves in waves just as they had last Monday and Wednesday mornings. I took this to mean that communication continued between her Sinful Self and other levels of her personality.

(She was very glum and silent as she spent much time on the couch this afternoon and after supper. “Something’s got to be done,” she said. “I can’t take much more of this.” She herself suggested the session, then, and of course I agreed. I also told her I hadn’t forgotten about the list of 6 points I’d made for the deleted session of April 13, 1981. That seemed like ages ago now. The last of those points described our seeking medical help for her. To my mind at the moment, that course of action would be the “something to be done” if we failed to get enough help from these late sessions.

(8:30.) They actually represent very complex matters, and complex ones to explain, for in themselves they contain the seeds of material necessary for any understanding of the nature of reality and beliefs. Religion itself, of course, would hardly stand the test.

(9:49.) Those areas have a tendency to be neglected in your minds, as if next to Ruburt’s problems they are relatively insignificant—but you would not find them so insignificant if they represented their own vital problem areas.

Give us a moment.... (Long pause.).... I realize that you can only do so much, Joseph, but on a particularly troublesome night, if you would sit up, talk with Ruburt for perhaps 10 or 15 minutes, you could both shorten troublesome episodes to a considerable degree. This last period was intensified also since both of you were in the same mood at the same time. You must remember that the entire problem does indeed exist in a larger personal framework in which life and energy are abundantly and freely given.
