Now, however, the story becomes trickier. The patients had various beliefs, of course, behind their conditions. Many felt unworthy. Because of this many were unable to express normal aggression. Some were frightened of the world, and so forth. The author gives such people a specific enemy, or evil: no more must they be battered with formless fears, but these become gathered together and focused into the dietary area. Unhealthy foods become the villain.

The entire rib area is stretching because of his exercises and walking. The discomfort there will gradually pass, as indeed other symptoms have since he began his walking. Standing by the breezeway table, leaning on it, is excellent, though this should be gently done at first.

(I simply wondered if Seth had any comments. The Word, by Irving Wallace, is a book on the discovery of an unknown gospel by the brother of Christ, James the Just. It’s a powerful story, although evidently written by Wallace in the contemporary genre of popular fiction these days. We thought the television adaptation contained many fine things, though—a number of excellent individual performances, although the story line was hard to follow over four episodes. Certainly neither of us had figured on following the series through the four nights. Many of the scenes, filmed on location about the Mediterranean area, were very evocative to us.)
