Give us a moment.... In historical times as you think of them, pre-industrial man had no need of those particular devices. He dealt with reality differently. It is not necessary to say his way was better, but it was vastly different. Some of this is most difficult to explain in any terms that will make sense, because the entire belief system of your times bears physical evidence of course, that such inoculations work.

The belief has been in the miraculous quality of science, under whose banner such inoculations began. There are, as I told you, literally endless ways of relating to the body and to the world; each one will work—at least enough so that the system seems to hold.

You cannot afford that kind of method now, because you do not believe that the mind itself can help protect the body against disease caused by bacteria or virus. In many cases, whenever your culture and so-called primitive ones have met, inoculations worked, whether or not the natives believed in a particular inoculation, because they do believe in the “white man’s superior power,” and were as hypnotized by the white doctor’s mystique as they were by their medicine men.

A child is quite aware of its parents’ beliefs, and quite aware of the parents’ and the doctor’s authority. Inoculations have great magical effect upon children in that regard. Infants carry a strong telepathic connection with the mother, which is not severed for some time, so that inoculations given the infant can work in that regard, even as a child can also be protected in other systems when the mother calls upon the appropriate spirit.

(10:25.) Give us a moment.... I am going carefully, because much of this could be misunderstood. In a way, modern medicine has brought about many of the complications that now assail it. When women had too many children in the past, many did not live to adulthood. In the larger scheme of reality, this provided a framework for individuals to taste infancy or childhood without growing to maturity. It seems like the most heartless lack of compassion to say that such a situation was the most natural, and in the long run for all, the most advantageous. And yet that can be said, for the framework worked, individually, and fit in with the goals of the species. The quality of life is all-important. There were fewer suicides, for those who survived, survived because of their own intent, their own desire, and the young died when it seemed natural to them. They died naturally, that is, and wholeheartedly, and were not torn between life and death.

The speakers operate in individual capacity, and yet they affect mass life conditions, for they can point out needed alterations in, say, a political system long before this is apparent. The speakers use language, yet stretch it beyond its means. They are natural communicators, gifted so that their works affect not only the conscious lives of others, but also change and alter dream patterns.

I am saying all of this gently. Ruburt became overly concerned, trying too hard. You both let Framework 2 slide in your thoughts—generally speaking. Faith went out the window. If you both read your statements in the morning, and you and Ruburt read his together, that will help you program the day. You can each remind the other when you feel low, at least to read those statements, for the work is easily done there, in Framework 2.

It is no tragedy, it is of no matter if on a particular day he thinks from the feeling of his legs he does not want to go out. There are periods of stability, as he knows, when he forgets the issue, and other periods when one leg is “working” more than the other.

As a speaker, I bring into your world information not generally a part of it, and in other terms as speakers yourselves, you contribute your knowledge of the world as it is in your time, along with that vaster knowledge that is a part of your heritage. You are aware of the books we write and of the sessions we hold. You are not aware of the larger ramifications, the communications that continue both while you sleep and while you wake. You are not aware of those greater dimensions of activity that go on as you work at your notes, or familiar with the millions of people who will respond to them in their conscious life, and in the multiconscious level of their dreams. It will help if you keep that in mind.
