(During the last week Jane has had several long periods of relaxation, plus other signs of continuing physical improvement. In fact, she was still feeling the effects of a relaxation as this session began. It had started in mid-afternoon after she had received an OK from Tam Mossman re the publication of her book of poetry, Dialogues — at least as far as Tam is concerned. The book will be published after Personal Reality, but before Aspects.)

The right and left sides are out of balance. The relaxation episodes naturally provide in their own way, more easily and without discomfort, the same sort of benefit that theoretically would be received, say, in a chiropractic treatment. This is but one part of the process, however. The release of muscles takes place in such a way that the tendons around joints are gradually loosened, and then the body works on the joints themselves. Ruburt has experienced the slight soreness as rigidity in those areas begins to loosen. There is also the repair of tissue about the joints.

While certain stages are occurring there may be an uneven quality, but not necessarily, where he walks much better one day and not another, until the entire system is aligned, when of course the improvements will be held. This simply has to do with various muscular systems. I mentioned this only so that he understands, and is not disappointed if one day he does exceptionally well, and the next day does not seem to do as well. This may not occur, the unevenness, but it could as a natural situation as balance is restored.
He is doing well. The badminton again, however, should be established, and the squatting exercises. When there is a lengthy relaxation period he will know instinctively when to let the badminton go, for instance, but it should be established as a practice. For again it allows the new resiliency an opportunity to show in motion. Again, the ten minutes are sufficient.

Ruburt must still go on to some deeper realizations, and he is on the way. Repression of motion cannot lead to anything but further repression. He understands this now. He is allowing himself freedom by degrees, letting down repressions one by one.

He believes that freedom is possible, meaning physical freedom. Before, he did not. But freedom should not be thought of as an absolute, but as a process of fulfillment that will take place naturally because he wants it to, and believes that it will. All suggestions as given last week stand.
