Now I told you that when the book was finished, you could feel free to have some private sessions if you so desired. You are welcome to them but that is up to you.

Now then. It is true that thoughts form reality, but the thoughts are like passengers, riding atop of emotional feelings, or feeling-tones. The feelings obviously help form the thought. On the surface there are many feelings, sometimes highly ambiguous, that rise and fall and often compete for domination.

Now. We will be writing other books, but never in such a way that you must plunge from one into another. The books will fall into their own rhythm overall in our sessions. You will have rest between in other words.

The difference in age to some extent applied, in that he became angry at you then for being enough older than he so that your aging parents would become a difficulty. Such problems would have had to be faced in any case, but they were faced creatively, and brought about these sessions and your own psychic developments.

He did not use his abilities fully to spite her, while loving her. This was the reason for the repressed aggression. He was basically childlike, trusting not people however but nature. They are having a reunion in depth.

He has met his former wife (Maxine, who died about 14 years ago, just as Jane and I met), but the connections are not good. The mutual attraction no longer exists as it did between them. The reunion is joyous and his vision is clear at last in terms of his own selfhood.

You may be aware of him without his necessarily appearing. He will look in on Midge, however. He remembers her with gratitude; but there is a possibility of an unpleasant death on her part, that could involve fire. (Pause.) If so, he will see to it that she does not suffer.

(“Okay.” I never met Mattie. I was still writing. When I looked up I saw that Jane was out of trance, her eyes bleary. I said good night to Seth quickly, but I was too late. “It’s me,” Jane said. I also forgot to note the time the session ended. Approximately 11:10.

(Jane said she had to “fight to stay in trance” at the last, because she began to pick up some “bad feelings” about Midge, alone in the house down there in Florida, and probably drinking. Jane kept wanting to come out of trance. She had an impression of Midge in a robe, crawling on the floor near the oil stove in the living room. Jane saw no flames, she said, but “it was all hazy, like smoke... I don’t know, but I don’t feel good about it right now.” Then, “I’ve still got this scary feeling. Maybe I’ve just translated all the mixed-up feelings about my father and the house there and everything into Midge. I’ve got the impression that she was trying to close the door of the stove.”

(“And I am Sumari in another guise. And all of you have your guises and your masks that you wear and have worn. I am Sumari in another guise. And all of these guises are myself, and all of your guises are yourselves. And as I dwell in many realities, so dwell you in many realities. You will learn to become aware of these; you are learning. I am aware of all your activities. I am aware, for example, of your Seth and of your Seth II. We are all Sumari. Now we are appearing more clearly in terms that you can understand. But we are all Sumari, and if you are all Sumari, and never forget that you are all Sumari, and you have always been Sumari. It is the name of your family.”
