(Peter Murtough was a witness for the last time. The session was recorded. Jane’s eyes were mostly closed, her pace good.

There is much that you do not know regarding this kind of session, and the means to which it may be put. Ruburt has endeavored to speak to Pete and explain to him how his ability should be used and should not be used.

(Here I lost a few words because of the rapid pace. Since the session was being recorded I didn’t ask Seth to slow down.)

…It occurs to me that much of this may be new to you. Nevertheless, any physical benefits, any predictions that do occur in such sessions, come as a result of initial spiritual and psychic development. To expect the physical benefits first can indeed close off the very spiritual and psychic development.

Now, the love that binds you all is a close, sometimes open… (words missed again)…that which is too much for him at this time… (and again.)… This sort of session is not primarily to tell you what you should do, Stephen. It is not a means of helping you avoid decision, my good friend. The purpose of such a session is instead to help you develop, to grow in self-confidence and strength through making your own decisions.

(10:50. Jane was by now beginning to look quite tired, but we could tell the session wasn’t over yet. Resume at 11:05.)

([Pete:]“That’s right. Perhaps one of these days we can get together again—hold a joint Seth and Ferd session.”)

I think there will be some time for such a joint session. However during our sessions I will look in on you from time to time, though I do not believe you will be aware of it.
