On the one hand he cannot communicate with you clearly because of his own condition at this time. On the other hand you cannot receive him clearly enough because your own abilities have not yet been sufficiently developed.

It is because of this that he speaks through you, because of your youth, and because your condition in this system or life somewhat approximates his own situation within another system. The difficulties will be ironed out as you work together. There is much that you can do, and indeed that you must do if you wish the situation to continue and improve.

My friend Ruburt has told you that you must read everything that you can, and so you should. There must be a sense of almost severe integrity on your part at all times in connection with your abilities. You must have patience while these abilities develop, while Ferd learns to perfect his own communication process, and while you learn to perfect your receptive abilities.

(Seth’s manner in speaking to Pete was, on the overall, quite restrained and serious, and the difference from his usual manner was quite obvious to the Gallaghers and myself. Jane resumed in the same manner at 9:24.)
