We are not attempting to enlighten the intuitions at the expense of the intellect. We are attempting to work in such a manner that added knowledge from the intuitional inner self is also made known to the intellect.

In the past few sessions we have begun discussing some material that will be the basis for many other sessions, and well may be considered as a general outline for another year’s work.

(The experience: Jimmy operates a supper club in Elmira, which Jane and I visit frequently. Some of my paintings hang there. Jimmy usually closes after 1 AM; by NY law he cannot serve drinks after 1 AM. On this particular evening during the first week in October 1964, he had some extra work to do. Shortly after 1 AM he took a waitress to her home in his Jeep. With him he also had some fresh tomatoes, and with these he stopped at his mother’s home while on his way back to the club.

(October 28, Wednesday, 5:30 PM: Today I had been working on a painting of apples. Trying psy-time, I saw apples twice. The first time they were in shades of gray and violet, and I saw small sections of them from a close-up position, as a stem detail, etc. The second time, I again saw the apples in sections, but this time in full color. I could discern easily the grain of the board, the brush strokes in the paint, etc.
