(Bill Macdonnel arrived to witness the session. [...]

(Seth’s reference to experimentation on our part involved a discussion re holding another “seance” involving Jane, Bill and I. We had meant to set a date for such an effort but neglected to do so.)

(Bill Macdonnel, who has witnessed several sessions, was at the door. [...]

[...] Jane reported that she was well dissociated to begin the session, and even more so after Bill’s arrival. [...]

[...] Jim Beckett stated that midway through the monologue, he felt the presence of Bill Macdonnel so strongly that he expected to see Bill walk in the door. However Bill did not appear throughout the evening. It will be remembered that Jim B. and Bill [...]

[...] Both Bill Gallagher and I remarked on the pronounced brogue she had used. Bill said his ulcer had not bothered him, and Lorraine said that her neck felt much better.

(For the session we had three witnesses: Lorraine Shafer, who witnessed the 144th session, and Bill and Peg Gallagher, who have witnessed the 158th and the last session. [...]

(Lorraine’s neck felt much better, she said, and Bill’s ulcer had quieted down. [...]

[...] If a bill arrives do not think “How will we ever pay this?” or “This will make us short,” for you are painting your picture of poverty, you see. Instead say to yourself “Money to pay this bill is coming to me.” [...]

(I will include a copy of the very long, vivid and involved dream I had involving Jane, Bill Macdonnel, three friends of a family from Sayre, and my father, before whatever session Seth uses to discuss it. [...]

[...] In the beginning Jane; Bill Macdonnel; Clark, Alice and Larry Potter; and myself were in an apartment I did not recognize but took to be occupied by Jane and me. [...]

[...] A pastel drawing of a green leafy tree especially charmed me, and I exclaimed to Bill and the others that Jane’s drawings were much better than I had thought them to be, or had realized she could do.

(When Bill, Don and I first tried tipping the table on October 7 we faked the results; this led to some rather vehement reactions on the part of the three women. [...]

(Bill and Peggy Gallagher leave on vacation for two weeks, beginning Monday, October 17.)

[...] We did think that more than two people should be involved, though, so we decided to ask Bill Macdonell to join us, since he was the only one who knew of our experiments. Bill dropped by on the evening of January 2, 1964, and on the spur of the moment I suggested that the three of us give it a try.

[...] Bill Macdonell read the notes and agrees with them.

(Before the session I described to Jane my dream of Wednesday, December 6;and the second vision I had, of another painting, on the evening of Thursday November 30; the first painting vision being the one of Bill Gallagher on November 28,1967, and discussed by Seth in the 382rd session.

It would be a good idea once or twice for him to remember the Jungle Gym (in Webster, New York where my younger brother Bill and his family live), and the first time he remembered faltering in a physical fashion. [...]

(I should add that our dear friends, Bill and Peg Gallagher, visited Jane rather late last night, and brought with them a bottle of wine which the three of them proceeded to drain. [...]

[...] I stopped at the bank to buy money orders to pay bills. [...]

(After supper Jane asked me if I agreed with her decision not to call Dr. Kardon, when I hadn’t thought of doing so to begin with—especially in light of the high bill we’d received from St. Joseph’s to begin with, for the last finger episode. [...]

(According to her, ectoplasm formed the various changes and materializations about my hand in our previous seance with Bill Macdonnel. [...]

[...] Bill Macdonnel should be good in seance sessions, though he is somewhat like mercury, changeable; at times he may not do well, other times good. [...]

[...] Rob told to try sessions with Bill and myself as we did last year, when Rob saw house and other material so clearly. [...]

[...] Bill and Peggy Gallagher were present, and Ann Diebler, and Don and Marilyn Wilbur. [...]

[...] My brother, Bill, is due for a visit here next week; which fact was unknown to us when I had the pair of dreams.

(Seth’s favorite name for Peggy Gallagher is the cat lover, since Peg is afraid of cats; and he likes to call Bill Gallagher the Jesuit, because of his never-ending questions.)

(The other friend being Bill Gallagher. Bill and his wife Peggy have witnessed the 158th, 161st and 162nd sessions.)

[...] This brogue had been quite pronounced at times during the 162nd session, witnessed by Lorraine Shafer and Bill and Peggy Gallagher, and I have noted traces of it during subsequent sessions.

[...] Instead most of the session was devoted to Seth’s tuning in on Bill and Peggy Gallagher, who are on vacation this week in Nassau.

[...] Bill of some kind, connected with an item.

[...] If, for example, you have scarcely enough money on which to live, and you examine your thoughts, you may find yourself constantly thinking, “I can never pay this bill, I never have any luck, I’ll always be poor.” [...]

[...] I cannot meet my bills,” and so forth. [...]

[...] This happened in a test about a year ago, involving Bill Macdonnel on vacation in Cape Cod. Seth described a certain rowboat with initials and a symbol on its bow; but since Bill failed to notice rowboats in general, we were at a loss as to the accuracy of Seth’s information. Seth did insist that this particular boat had been in Bill’s close vicinity.

[...] I had to go to the bank to get checks and money orders to pay taxes and bills, hook up the garden hose, and learn how to work the new sprinkler I’d bought to spray the flowers out back. [...]
