If ever in a dream experience you defy gravity, then gravity is not a primary reality, but only a manifestation within your own physical system. [...]

This is perhaps one of the most important bits of information I have given you; for if you are bright enough, and I think that you are, then you have a yardstick by which to measure the nature of primary reality, from which all other manifestations are spun.

The past does have its own past, present and future, therefore. From a given past event you will only materialize a particular future, but the event itself continues, and possesses a dimensionality of its own — or rather a multidimensionality that you also possess.

The entire picture of physical life as you understand it must be of course experienced from your own viewpoint, but its complexity, its order and magnificence of structure and design should be understood as composing but one example of the infinite number of realities, each constructed by the propensities and characteristics of its own nature and the nature of its own consciousness.

The inner references of reality involve a different kind of experience entirely, with organizational patterns that mix and merge at every conceivable point. You tune your consciousness while you sleep as one might tune a piano, so that in waking reality, it clearly perceives the proper notes and values that build up into physical experience. Those inner fields of reference in which you have your existence are completely changing themselves as your experience is added to them, and your own (long pause) identity was couched in those references before birth as you understand it.

At one time, then, you were more open in a fashion to the kinds of consciousness that you admitted into your circle of reality. [...] Quite simply, you felt that in certain terms you had other brothers and sisters in the world that were like you but unlike you, that put together the contents of the universe in their own fashions. Such species, of course, can nowhere appear within the dictates of evolution or be perceived as realities except under those conditions when you relax your usual conventions of perception and behavior.

[...] As you began to bring your own physical reality into harder, clearer focus, you stopped with your own view of human consciousness, shutting off completely and rather arbitrarily those other elements in order to more clearly frame and define the boundaries of physical order. [...]

[...] Emotions then, in their own realm unperceived by the outer senses, have their own solidity, shape, and it is from these that your expectations are formed.

An expectation of danger will indeed create danger. An expectation of success will create success. [...]

As long as you believe this so will your expectations of reality become, in truth, reality. [...]

If, and I am speaking now metaphorically, if-if-if-if-if there was ever a Sumari language existing in the past then it had to be created, and if you want it to be found you had better help create it. You are forming realities. [...]

Now all of you to some extent in your dream work keep records, and as such you are dealing with language as you know it, and you are interpreting your experience in terms of a mundane language that is as much a deception as it is a reflection of your feelings and experiences, for you cannot find words within your language to express your own feelings and experiences. You form the fabric of your experience through your own beliefs and expectations. These personal ideas about yourself and the nature of reality will affect your thoughts and emotions. You take your beliefs about reality as truth, and often do not question them. [...]

Many individuals are completely blind to their own beliefs about themselves, and the nature of reality. Your own conscious thoughts will give you excellent clues. [...]

You will see that in the first mentioned examples the effect would be created by man in line with his abilities, and in the latter examples the effects would be created in some instances by what is sometimes called dead matter, but what we know as other forms of consciousness, according to their ability.

[...] There are also however forms or structures that are what you may call psychological forms or structures, even within your own field, which you do not perceive with your outer senses, but which are nevertheless frameworks that underlie form as it appears in matter.

These psychological forms or structures have a reality and validity, composed of gestalts that exist in perspectives that you do not recognize.

Consciousness actually creates these perspectives, in which it can then manifest itself in form. [...]

[...] You are in no way diminished because other quite-as-official selves are “offshoots” of your own experience, making the choices you did not make, and choosing, then, alternate versions of reality.

When you seemingly look backward into time, and construct a history, you do so by projecting your own prime series of events into the past as it is understood. Obviously you read the past from the present, but you also create it from the present as well. [...]

[...] In such fashion you block out aspects of your own reality — and consciously, at least, cut down on your choices.

You follow the prime series of events that you recognize as your own, yet all of you are connected. (Long pause, eyes closed.) These are not just esoteric statements, but valid clues about the nature of your own behavior, meant to give you a sense of your own freedom, and to emphasize the importance of your choice.

I have told you that at microscopic levels there is no rigid (underlined) self-structure like your own. [...] A cell does not fear its own death. Its identity has traveled back and forth from physical to nonphysical reality too often as a matter of course.

[...] It amounts to — amounts to — a unique state of existence by itself, in which you combine the elements of physical and nonphysical reality. It is almost a threshold between the two realities, and you learned to hold your physical intent long enough at that threshold so that you have a kind of brief attention span there, and use it to draw from nonphysical reality precisely those creative elements that you need. These portraits obviously have a biological reality. [...] Each one interacting with each other one helps form the psychological and physical reality of the species, so you are somehow involved in the formation of a multitudinous number of portraits. [...]

There are many other universes besides your own, each following its own intervals, its own harmony. While I am doing that I am also trying to introduce you, intuitively at least, to a larger framework, in which events straddle the reality that you know. Nevertheless, we will begin with issues in which it is very possible that contradictions may seem to occur, since your own definitions of an event are so simple that they ignore larger ramifications—ramifications that would reconcile any seeming contradictions in an overall greater unity of structure and action. I do not mean by such a description to minimize the importance of physical life, for All That Is endows each portion of its own transformed reality with a unique existence that is duplicated nowhere else, and each spark of consciousness is endowed with a divine heritage that is never extinguished—a spark that is apparent in all other corners of the universe.

However, let us remember that when creating and experiencing a challenge, on any scale, consciousness may choose a predominantly positive or negative focus, or it may seek to achieve a balance. While some utility companies in the United States are in trouble with their nuclear plants, then, other companies do own plants that perform very well and very economically. [...]
